[doublepost=1509486707][/doublepost]Thank you. So, I have to update to 10.13.0 and then to 10.13.1?

I can't recall having to do this two step process before.
That's because at various sub-versions, Apple would update the main installer to the latest sub-version. Until that is released, uses will have to go through the steps. No big deal.

Oh man, the first initial release of High Sirera introduced freezing, loss of Magic Trackpad control, random reboots and long boot times.

2012 Mac Mini with external SSD.

FYI, switched back to Mac OS Sierra and got ZERO problems. If you are installing this update on a Mac Mini, please let us other Mac mini users let us know how it is, especially if you boot from a SSD external!

Update: For older Macs, Apple has also released security updates that address the KRACK WPA2 vulnerability.

I just checked and no update for Mac Mini running Mavericks OS X 10.9.5

what about a firmware update for the Time Capsule and Airport Express to fix the WPA2 hack?

The WPA2 KRACK problem is not in base stations, it is a client thing.

All seems fine with macOS 10.12.6 (16G1036) as well.

Still no iOS 10.3.4, AirPort 7.7.9 or AirPort 7.6.9 though.

There is iOS 11.1.

Why do you want new AirPort software?

This update does not fix issues with integrated Intel video on late 2011 notebooks. Please all users, who have issues, file a report on bugreport.apple.com. It's important to do, we need many reports, in other case Apple will not fix this.

I noticed that you can't restore dmg images to APFS drives in 10.13.0
I don't know if this is fixed on 10.13.1 because I haven't installed yet
the only way you can restore a dmg file to a drive on Mac OS 10.13 is
if you have that drive in HFS+

APFS for fusion drives?
stopped trying raid0 on my 4 Samsung 960
the only way I was able to make raid work was using HFS+
APFS never worked
I don't want to spent over 150 dollars on soft raid
I already spent over 1,000
4 samsung and amfeltec 16x 3.0 carrier board

when the card arrives I will try one last time if it doesn't work then in going back to HFS+
is the same story with fusion drives
why we can't have or use APFS on our drives

This update fixes... Nothing. Boot takes forever... APFS problems. SSD Trim problems... Bye Bye.
I find out that supposely you are not suppose to use a trim command or enabler with APFS because trim is already implemented on APFS, you can only use trim command or enablers on HFS+ , trim command or enablers they are basically pretty much the same thing, but instead of you entering the commands manually on terminal, a company sell you an app that does the same thing but much easier without any command, simply click next and you are done.

I'm not on the laptop you have, but I have other bugs. Do I have to have a developer account to use bugreport.apple.com?

10.9.5 hasn’t received any updates from Apple, excluding some versions of iTunes, for more than a year. It won’t receive any more. You need to be running at least 10.11.6 to get this latest security update.

I've installed it on two 2012 minis (one 6,2 with mirrored 1TB drives, one 6,1 with internal OWC SSD) – High Sierra has been maybe a slight bit more beachball-y in general for me than Sierra (I suspect it's primarily network-mounted volumes related), but nothing new has cropped up with this update so far. No external SSDs here. FWIW.

This update for me came with an updated Safari Tech Preview which until now has been working fine for awhile. This update however is causing it to not load a good percentage of webpages resulting in a error message something like 'Failed loading page <URL>'. Looks like they introduced some significant bugs somewhere in it.

If you downloaded the High Sierra Installer from the Mac App Store eight hours ago (or yesterday), the installer would have upgraded you to 10.13.0. In that case, you would need to also update to 10.13.1.

If you download it right now, it will bring your system to 10.13.1 (includes the update released today). In recent years, Apple has updated their downloadable macOS installer with the latest bits shortly after they release an update.

Previously, one had to install the base system, like 10.x.0 and then install an update or a combo updater to get their system to have the latest operating system version. Now that Apple has stopped releasing macOS on physical media, they update the downloadable installer. Easier to distribute than pressing a new edition of installer DVDs.

I have a 2012 13" Macbook Pro with traditional HD. Bought new in 2014.
Should I upgrade to High Sierra now? Currently running Sierra great.

False.

I’ve spent the last week working with Cisco on bugs in their WLC code introduced in the new update.

Correction - Of the 10 holes in KRACK, one is for base stations that have support for 802.11r, fast base station roaming. Cisco does, as do some other similar 802.11 infrastructure products.
The rest are client problems.

The AirPort does not support 802.11r.

(oops, missed that part...)

Not on this household's iPad 4th generation or iPhone 5, there isn't.

No, it is Apple policy that iOS devices expire, generally after about 4 years or so. After that, they will not get security updates, and they are in practice useless for internet use. I will certainly not defend this, it is just a fact that you have to accept. The only upside is that it is much better than most other phones or tables on the market.

Leave well be until at least the .4 release

As expected, they've also released a patch for El Capitan (OS X 10.11) and Sierra (macOS 10.12) as well.
OS X Yosemite now all but confirmed as being obsolete.

Have they got things fixed with this Office 2011 problems with spinning cursors and other issues? I don't know why this release had to BORK Office 2011. I think people out there still use it, right? What is so great about subscribing to a pay-subscription Office 365 service where you are stuck in a Pay Loop, when you can full-out OWN your software on a DVD and install it, and use it for eternity at your own convenience, and not have to pay another buck? Heck, that is why I still use Photoshop CS6 and Dreamweaver CS6, and I *refuse* to do the Adobe Creative Cloud thing, I don't like the idea of a pay-to-use software rental mode,, at all. Anyone here agree with me on this? FIX Office 2011 for 10.13!
