Is it actually i tied in anyway to the location you are downloading from? I am in Seattle at the moment, and it is downloading something, but does not say GM Candidate.

EDIT: It downloaded 17A361a ... I currently have 17A360a, installed.....

Same here, the version plist is 361a in the dmg but after install it shows version 362a ...

GM candidate indicates that they are not 100% confident that it will be the GM.

Personally, I’m waiting until they do declare a build as actual GM. I don’t want to take a risk when filesystems are involved. Grateful to those that have been testing and filing bugs, of course!

You're still missing the boat here... GM Candidate means this is the GM unless something is seriously found to be wrong. This WILL be the final version barring anything major coming up.

Build number will stay the same but drop the "a" at the end on number

But it'll be the SAME release. Same build. AKA if this version doesn't have any major issues, the release version everyone will get on the 25th will be this identical release.

Still can't download this build have d/l the profile from the developer site several times installed it then did open on the app store for macOS High Sierra but nothing seems to change build is still 17A360a. Very odd.

Info.plist just shows the version it had been compiled on, it's almost every time a slightly older build.

My App Store is still shown as websites in several sections and says I have to log in to my purchases.

Time for:

Code:
defaults write com.apple.appstore ShowDebugMenu -bool true

Edit: Doesn't show up anymore with that command. Still worked in Beta 9. It even was enabled before the update. In other apps like Contacts, Calendar, Reminders, Safari, Safari TP etc. it's still there.

Edit: Signed out again and everything is back to normal. But I had to sign in although the menu still said I already am.

HELP???
I downloaded the newest Public Beta Access Utility DMG, installed it and it went to the HS download in the App store, it downloaded the HS beta then stopped. Nothing else happened at this point.
I have done this twice. Not going to try this again until I can figure out why nothing happens after the download completes.

HELP???

did you go to Applications folder, open, and run the installer? It should have you reboot twice afterwards, and re-enter your Apple ID and password, then finish installing.

Yes I did and nothing happens other than the app store opens and shows no updates available.

I installed High Sierra and found that it didn't update me to APFS. Is this because it's a beta and they want users to be able to downgrade back to Sierra or do I have to convert to APFS manually?

UPDATE: I rebooted in recovery mode and went into the disk utility. Convert to APFS was greyed out. Turns out, I had to unmount the boot drive first. At that point, I was able to select Convert to APFS.

While I didn't gain any space as some have reported, things are definitely a lot faster and smoother. Maybe it's just that "new OS smell" but I think that this time it's different. An entirely new file system built for the technology we use today gives me more confidence that it'll continue to work well and remain smooth.

No update available for me - public beta. Currently on 17A360a

Did you click the App Store link, and download the new full installer?

macappstores://itunes.apple.com/app/id1209167288

It should download an item to your applications folder called "Install macOS High Sierra Beta",
if you downloaded that, it should have opened automatically and promoted you to install, it should not open the App Store.

I think all you did was install the beta profile, which does open the App Store and check for updates. If you did not click the link to full installer, then you did not get it.

The App Store is only showing the main page even after I click on Updates. I've force quit the application a couple times to no avail. Not only that, but the main page take a long time to load. I'm running the latest Public Beta.

I think this is the link you intended...

macappstores://itunes.apple.com/app/id1209167288

thank you!

p.s. yes, I had installed the beta profile a long time back and have been getting all the betas via the app store update process after the first install.

What does this mean? Ran public beta through version 9. Reinstalled public beta profile once GM came out. And now I see this?

View the macOS public beta in the Mac App Store

It isn't working that way. That is what I am trying to say. It did the download and then nothing else happened. No install, no multiple boots, nothing.
