Yes it is faster than Safari 10. Plus it turns off auto-play, which helps.Just completed the install on my 2012 mac air. Wow, Safari is so much snappier.
That's likely your problem. On a Mac, never run RAM with a lower CAS latency than the stock RAM.If I'm not wrong they are different as Apple was using faster CAS but slower clock speed while my RAMs were slower CAS but faster clock speed. I'll try tonight with 3rd party if not working I'll try with original Apple RAMs
Why my photos library file still the same size after installing macOS high sierra? can anyone enlighten me?
Still iTunes 12.6.2.20 for me.iTunes 12.7.0.166

After this glacier installer finishes I'll see what version I'm still on. Was on 12.6.2.20whaaat? :O
I have a flashed AMD 7970 in it... i also have the original 5770 laying around, should i try with that in? Also if it is successful, will i screw anything up by swapping them again after install?Do you have a non-flashed 3rd party graphics card in the computer? The firmware update will not install without an EFI compatible graphics card in the computer.

If you're talking about the HEVC conversion, that is only on photos going forward.
If you're talking about APFS vs HFS+, is this on an SSD? If not, no conversion to APFS in this version of macOS.
Although this isn't news, I'm still kind of floored that my mid-2010 iMac continues to be supported and updated by Apple. That's why I made the decision to purchase that computer—my first Apple computer—back then, and that's the reason I continue to love Apple products.

BTW, I jumped from a 2.4 GHz Core 2 Duo running 10.7.5 Lion and Safari 6.1.6, to a 2.0 GHz Core 2 Duo running 10.13 High Sierra and Safari 11.
After factoring the CPU speed difference, it would appear Apple has doubled the JavaScript speed in Safari from Lion to High Sierra. The boost from Sierra to High Sierra is much less though of course.
I haven't run the HS DB since I got my new iMac.
Does anyone know if one wants to revert back to Sierra, if Disk Utility will revert the Apple SSD back to HFS+? Just curious, as I can see a lot of people wanting to revert.
If I convert a volume to APFS, can I later revert to HFS+?
You can use Disk Utility to erase an APFS-formatted volume and reformat as HFS+. However, your data will not be preserved when you reformat the volume as HFS+.
I think Sierra was compatible with my iMac 2009 with a Core 2 Duo, just never installed it, kept it on Snow Leopard.how did you install high sierra on an old 2.0 core duo?
2.0 GHz Core 2 Duo, not Core Duo.how did you install high sierra on an old 2.0 core duo?
