Just got off the phone with Apple. They are aware of the problem causing the news application to crash. They are working to push an update over the next few days that will resolve the problem.
Try this- Launch Activity Monitor, search for "coreaudiod", double click on it and select "Quit". It will reappear and hopefully work as expected.Just upgraded. iMac won’t make a sound now. Something is wrong.
The 10.14.4 update bricked two of our iMac Pros... anyone else having trouble? Working with Apple to recover them now. They KP on boot in the network driver somewhere.
I just updated to 10.14.4 and the new News 4.2 starts but quits after a few seconds. Does anyone else have this problem?
Anyone remember MobileMe, when it first rolled out?For all the hype, how could Apple have managed to booger up one of their key selling-points to the upgrade?
Thanks. I missed all of that in the article.I'm excited. Mojave has been the most stable and interesting release in a very long time.

Rx580 ftw!Ah, my good old mid-2010 Mac Pro. Shoved an RX580 in it and it's now Mojave compatible and still updating without a problem and running like a champ. I doubt Apple will ever make a Mac as good as this again. (Although fingers crossed for a preview at WWDC!)
"Late 2013" (15in Retina, 2.3Ghz I7, 16GB, 500GB SSD)the 2018 model has different display cable

what macbook pro do you have? what year?
No support at all for videocards from Nvidia? Solving the driver-trauma? I soon get crazy about this. Have hardware that can’t be used in my Mac Pro 5.1.
Anybody know a website that supports dark theme to test this out?
anyone experiencing Problems with Mail.App and Google Accounts after the update to 10.14.4 ? I am being asked for my password all the time an cannot access my E-Mail anymore using Mail.App
Okay, for those unfortunates with iMac Pro’s having “kernel panic reboot after install holidays”... re-install from interwebs by holding both command AND option keys +r. apparently using both keys forces a reload of the update on the recovery partition.
It worked for me.
Whoa, these are sweet, thanks! Pretty cool.
