hello everyone, I'm 1h in with my prior rather problematic setup with Lightroom Classic and GPU acceleration On and what can I say, from here it looks ok. Still pretty high peaks from time to time but it regulates down so.
also chrome, safari both work fine with HDR content; the MS Office suite (teams, outlook, ppt, xls..) look fine as well via browser (office.365) --> Using a MacBook Pro 16", M1Pro, 32GB, 1TB..

Memory leak not fixed on my MacBook Pro M1.

The problem formatting an external USB 3 drive has been fixed. (12.0.1 behavior = stalls forever, 12.1 formats in seconds, worked on Big Sur or Monterey with USB 2)
I am very excited to install this. I'll still wait a day just in case there are issues with the patch, but I'm definitely looking too see some patches.
Still no brightness options for my 27 inch ACD (connected via USB C to mDP adapter). Have to use a third party tool for an Apple display. Pathetic.
They had me at trackpad fix.
If that hadn’t been fixed I would have reverted to Big Sur on my MBP. My Mac mini is still on Big Sur and I think it’ll stay like that for a good while

Time Machine has been working fine for me on 12.0.1 ???
Thats not a memory leak. Twitch livestreams naturally use a TON of memory.
Never had this with Big Sur.
But maybe this is not a Monterey bug, maybe a Safari bug. Firefox is using normal memory - round 800 MB after hours of watching twitch.
Have they fixed Apple Music starting on plugging in bluetooth headset?
cmd + tap to click on safari for new tab is not fixed, it gets even worst. I have to tap exactly 3 times trackpad to open new tab in safari. on 12.0.1 i have to tap it 2-3 times, now exactly 3 times.
Updated 16" M1X MBP.
Apple have learned nothing about keeping the user informed during the update process. The progress bar on the 3GB downloaded proceeded normally, then got completely stuck at "preparing update" with an estimated time of 30 minutes to go. The best part of an hour later, nothing had changed, including the progress bar. Then it popped up a notification inviting a restart (password required).

This update bricked my M1 Mac Mini. Seriously, it must have corrupted the boot loader since I can't even get it to the recovery screen. I will be trying to fix it with the advanced system tools from another mac in a couple of days... Ugh.
Geez this has me worried..I am having someone from apple call me at 1pm to assist me with setting up my brand new macbook pro 14 inch and I know he will ask me to update it so Im worried I might have issues like this..
