Happy to report the update fixed the issue causing kernel panics when watching HDR on YouTube. Anybody know when Universal Control is supposed to arrive? Apple originally said "coming later this fall..."
Unfortunately, it's never going to look as good as it could because of the screen's slow response time. Really handicaps the advantages of having a 120hz refresh rate.Ive been saying it since beta, but Safari runs at around 100-110 hz while scrolling. Its not perfect yet as there is a little jitter here and there. Chrome runs pretty good at 120hz as well.
Same issue with a 2015 iMac.my update has been stalled for about an hour at the black screen/Apple logo with progress bar that hasn't moved. this is on a week-old 16" MaxBook. ugh
Now you will have MBP with 5G lol.My MBP is now fully vaccinated.
I wish it was OLED. I've seen some Dell XPS laptops and their OLED displays look staggeringly good. I know there are burn in issues, but still. The pictures quality + response times are easily worth the trade off. The only non-OLED device I now own is my 14" MacBook Pro.Unfortunately, it's never going to look as good as it could because of the screen's slow response time. Which country?Taking foreever to download for me on the west coast, anyone else seeing this?
I hear ya. I'm somewhat mixed on the issue myself. Burn in is one problem, the other issue is lower max brightness. I think these displays are just about perfect, sans the inexcusably slow response time. Really strange how slow these are regardless of being LED.I wish it was OLED. Happens on VODs tooThats not a memory leak. Twitch livestreams naturally use a TON of memory.
You were and are 100% right. It’s super obvious. Not sure why folks on the beta were arguing with you. Clear as day. Safari 120hz. What do you think it is?it does not
