The Music-app behaves strange. In Library > Songs, while scrolling in a column (genres, artists, albums) the list jumps back after a second. Anyone else here same thing? Fix?

What about that screensaver thing?Ken Burns Photos still show only colors. Or is it only my M1MacBook Pro issue?

It was doing this sometimes in 12.0.1 as well, at least for me.

Ive been saying it since beta, but Safari runs at around 100-110 hz while scrolling. Its not perfect yet as there is a little jitter here and there. Chrome runs pretty good at 120hz as well.
If you see any jitter it's a website trying to load a bunch of crap in the background, it's not your hardware.

Safari seems to not be hard locked on 60hz anymore but also doesn't seem to be a locked 120hz either. Comparing scrolling on safari with the photos app, the photos app is definitely smoother.

my update has been stalled for about an hour at the black screen/Apple logo with progress bar that hasn't moved. this is on a week-old 16" MaxBook. ugh

Same issue with the two MBA M1s that we have
I am going to check my 16" M1 Max MBP at home tonight. Maybe it is a gradual rollout?

UPDATE: Updates on both devices showed up in a couple of hours.

Chrome / Brave run on 120hz - For some reason Safari doesn't feel as smooth as those two browsers while scrolling. Safari has more 'choppiness' to it.

This update bricked my M1 Mac Mini. Seriously, it must have corrupted the boot loader since I can't even get it to the recovery screen. I will be trying to fix it with the advanced system tools from another mac in a couple of days... Ugh.

Are you guys updating using the Software update pane on System Preferences. Or from the full installer .app?

Also which version were you on before this? (Full version. For example 12.1 beta 2)

I upgraded and noticed my memory pressure is like 20% with the exact same apps I had open pre-12.1. Pre-12.1 my memory pressure was like 30%. Not sure if it's too early to take any meaning from this though.

weird I was just about to update, then got an error saying the update has changed and to reload the software update. After the update is no longer available, did it get pulled?

Update:
Nevermind, after a bit showed up again, weird

Anyone running cooler temps? After update with (2) 4k externals and internal display open I am now running between 45-50*C where as before I was always about 52* or so.

16" max.

Software Update, whatever was on it when it arrived from China last week (I'm assuming 12.0.1 but I can't exactly check at the moment!).

Hi,for what i think, you can boot in dfu mode, search for mr.macintosh and follow his tutorial

How did it brick it? Did it reboot to install to a black screen? Or?

I see. Mine came with 12.0 . But yours might be 12.0.1 . How is it? Is it still stuck?

Called AppleCare just to be safe (wanted to avoid a brick if possible), they had me turn it off and restart it and now it's back to updating again.

Trackpad still acting the same for me. It's when I want to open a link in a new tab (command + tap on the link). Sometimes I have to do it two or three times for it to register the click. It's so infuriating.

Updated 14" MacBook Pro to 12.1, so far everything is good, usually takes a while for memory leaks to appear though.
