softwareupdate -l reports the following on my M1 MBA MacOS 12.0.1 in the UK:

"Finding available software
No new software available."
It might be that it's rolling slowly. Or it's like the other user said before. It could be a different CDN etc. But as I said earlier if you want to update ASAP. You could just download the full installer from Mr Macintosh's site

Mine is doing the same -- east coast Canada here. Probably hasn't rolled out yet

Strangely the full installer just hangs on my M1 Air, not sure why

Even stranger... I have a virtual MacOS 12 machine running in Parallels and that one has found the update from 12.0.1 to 12.1 straight away.

no one noticed a temp diff? I have a solid 9-10*C delta now with 2 4K displays attached and internal screen open 16" M1 Max.

I was always around 50-52* with the displays connected even not really doing anything. Now I am a solid low 40's and seems to stick around 42* until I open a 4k video or something on YT.

So the full bootable installer downloads on my machine and it is 12.16GB called InstallAssistant.pkg, when I clock to install it installed something that takes 42.6MB of space on my hard drive and then it finishes? Then I went to the MacHD and saw the install Mac OS Monterey. Stay tuned.

It's on your applications folder now. The install macos Monterey.

Now the .app installer can be used for bootable installer or just a normal installer. I recommend trying the app itself. If it works then you don't need to do any of the bootable installer stuff

The update doesn't help for my problem:
when I watch youtube on my macbook pro 2021 16 inch, M1 MAX, 64gb memory, 32c CPU, 2 tb ssd with google chrome and switch to full screen (and also when leaving full screen) the screen most of the times flickers, especially when I switch quickly: you see the background for a moment and then it switches to full screen. I don't have this problem with safari and firefox.

Does anyone recognise this issue?
Report the bug to Google, if the other browsers don't have an issue it has to do with Chrome

Weird... when I saw the MR post that the update was out it showed up. I started to download it but it wasn't downloading. Cancelled it and it hasn't shown up since, it just says 12.0.1 up to date. Tried the terminal command too.
Tried changing DNS servers and nothing

Edit: Scratch that I restarted and it showed up straight away

It started to install, seems to be hung at 52 minutes but I am going to give it an hour or so.

the only weird thing and it happened with my previous macbook pro as well(The macbook 14 inch is brand new just opened it yesterday) is for some reason in the app store, updates for those free apps never appear under "Update" i can only go update them manually it does not show up and Im not sure why..any suggestions

Had to upgrade with the bootable full installer as you suggested. No way to get the update thru Software Update, terminal or App Store. (MBP 14 M1)
Yeh it's prob late. Idk if apple does scheduled rollouts like windows do. But yeah it's nice being able to get the full installer from the Apple server directly too .

So I am about at an hour hung at 52 minutes, any ideas on what to do?
How weird. When I installed mine using the bootable installation . So used the createinstallmedia to create the bootable installer. It was stuck on 52 mins for a few mins and then it works fine.

I guess I can just cancel it?

I do not think I created a bootable installer I just clicked on the install Monterey in the application folder? does installing it from a bootable disk wipe your information or just updates the OS? If so how do I create the bootable disk? Thanks for the help!
Sorry for my ignorance
