Anyone getting an annoying bug of buttons not working. Like menu buttons not working unless you select the program via command-tab? You can't just click your mouse over it and click it. But you have to command-tab to the program for the button to work?

It's annoying. Not sure if this is a Sierra issue. But, is hoping nonetheless if anyone else is experiencing this.

The app I am using is Epson Scan and I am scanning a bunch of negatives. So, with this bug, I can't just mouse over the "Scan" button and click on it. I have to command-tab to the Epson Scan program and then the button will work.

Hope this explains it since it's hard to explain it without a video....

Updated, all apps are crashing, screwed my MBA...Apple WTF?
I've installed it, as with the previous betas, with no such issue.

For the brave ones - as usual let us know how it goes!
It is working fine. I had the beta previously to this official release and it worked well also. I didn't have any type of program stability issues, random crashes, etc.

ditch the logitech software.. drive the mouse with macOS.. customize it within applications (when applicable)

I did ditch the Logitech software when I went back to El Capitan via a Time Machine restore. I hadn't had the Logitech software on my computer until it was recommended as a fix for the mouse scrolling issues in Sierra. The Logitech software didn't fix the problems I had with scrolling and created new problems (cursor lag) that persisted even after I uninstalled the Logitech software. I eventually did a Time Machine restore to my last El Capitan backup and all mouse problems went away.

Scrolling with my Logitech G700s was broken in the initial release of Sierra with the standard drivers that come with the OS. That's why I'm hoping Apple included better Logitech drivers in this .1 release.

SIRI is handy for spelling complex words. Has not failed me yet. The good part is that it places the correctly spelled word on the same screen you are working on.

Made 3 times restart, didn't help.

Download Onyx. It usually helps me when my Mini acts up.
I hope this update fixes the random hangs my computer is having for the first time ever. Just moving a picture to a folder sometimes doesn't work or hesitates before it goes in the folder. really annoying

Visually the UI was so much better than this flat UI.

There is almost no way to qualify that. I think older versions of OS X look pretty dated. The changes are stylistic and in many respects, that's that. The more pedantic will make an argument otherwise but the fact is, I really, really like the flat looks introduced in iOS 7 and Yosemite.

Before that I was happy to see brushed metal get replaced by the flatter gray. Kinda funny because there were people lambasting the Aqua look in favor of OS 9 because the Aqua look "interfered" with their graphic arts work on a visual level. Maybe it did? However, my experience in user interface design is that you can't please everyone and sometimes you change for the sake of change, otherwise people gripe about things getting "stale."

I might be weird in that I tend to enjoy change for change's sake but in OS X's evolution I can only think of two changes that really bugged me and I've since gotten over both:

1. Moving folders to a single color in Tiger -> Leopard. I thought it was visually harder to make out what was what but it turned it wasn't a big deal (it really annoyed me at the time though).

2. Shrinking the stoplight buttons in Snow Leopard -> Lion. Higher DPI displays made this a non-issue.

These are tiny things though. "Flat" vs "Not Flat" is almost entirely subjective though.

What do you mean, not available yet? I thought the new facial recognition engine was included with 10.12.0?
Oh – um – I remember reading it wasn't working yet, just looked now and mine says:

"0 Photos Scanned

Photos will continue scanning your remaining 13.353 photos when you're not using the app and your Mac is connected to power"

Maybe it's just not available chez @navaira. I have a limited edition of Sierra. *beams proudly*

Mine did the image scanning in 10.12.0 on day 1. It scans for objects too. Pretty neat feature. Sounds like the update fixed something that was stopping it on your machine for some reason.

Smooth upgrade for my 2015 rMB.

Updated straight away like I always do. Works fine, no real noticeable differences in performance.

Mail still locks up and kills my internet connection every hour or so but that's been happening since Lion so I'm kinda used to that now.

Installed update and now can not delete any files, can not place any file in trash.
The mouse pointer disappears every now any then and must reset mouse.
Grrrrrrr.
