no offense but a few days ago another user made the same claim and it's really that they don't understand how the thing whole things works, right now i have an nvidia 1080 working flawlessly on sierra 10.12.5 and nvidia official drivers are not out yet, here is the proof, you just have to know how
it's always been like this, there is no conspiracy and trust me nobody likes conspiracies more than me
apple releases the update then a day or 2 later Nvidia releases the new web driver update
but the ones that know the trick don't have to wait for Nvidia to release the web driver
in order to install the update
simply modify a file
NVDAStartupWeb.kext
and add the new build #
now after you reboot the files matches the build # and the file load the web drivers
then after Nvidia releases the official version of web drivers
you can download the official web drivers and install them
i have 2 samsung 960 in raid0 hitting 6000 in reading i'm just waiting on 2 more coming tomorrow
maybe you should try to build a hackintosh
just for learning purposes
Hey thanks! That's awesome. Is it ever buggy if you do that though?
I tried Hackintoshing in 2007 when Apple started using Intel processors and dabbed in it for a few years. I still have modded Tiger and Leopard install discs laying around somewhere. It always seemed like more trouble than it was worth. I'm happy using real Macs. They don't have the latest hardware, but they do what I need them to do and usually are pretty trouble-free.
[doublepost=1494902981][/doublepost]Actually I still have a Dell Vostro A90 with Snow Leopard installed on it. It works great! I remember it was kind of a pain to do updates on it though. Always had to use a custom program to apply them.
I bought that one because I wanted a netbook and Apple didn't have the 11" Air yet. When they finally came out with it though the netbook craze was pretty much over. Then it was iPads. Now iPads don't seem to be as popular as they used to be. I still use mine pretty often though.
