Thanks.it is not showing in updates tab, and it's seen "downloaded" in the app store...
Pause and resume the download, most of the times download speeds will improve greatly.

the os is not boring is just that you are bored then you think is the os, there are some people like that. they don't find things interesting or exciting. me i'm all the opposite i aways try to find a way to entertain myself even if is talking to the ants or looking at them doing their work. lolThe most boring Mac OS ever released.
If the installer app says Install macOS Sierra then that is what it will install regardless of what version you are coming from.
