Installed Ventura on my MacMini M1 and my USB-C connection to LG monitor isn't working any more. I had use the HDMI cable. Also Screen resolution can't be adjusted like monteray. So far not very happy with Ventura. The Settings Menu is very "strange"
Have you tried changing settings for USB devices in Privacy and Security > Allow accessories to connect?

Good luck!

After iOS16 I'm taking a wait and see attitude.
Monterey 12.0 was pretty buggy. I find that these macOS releases become more reliable by the X.3 update or something like that.

Nonetheless, I already upgraded my 2017 MacBook (not often used, secondary machine) to Ventura, and I'll probably upgrade my 2017 iMac (main machine) soon too. :p

yes I experienced it too. it's to set up family sharing photo albums. mine was blank because I hadn't (yet) updated the iPhone to 16.1
Ah, that makes sense. I am on 16.1, but as a beta. Maybe thats the case for me ☺️
Thanks for replying

I was 6 years old when they made their upgrades free, so I really don't remember when you had to pay for them. Although I DO remember when Final Cut used to cost $1000 and Logic $800.
I thought Logic Pro was also $1000, but I could be wrong. I bought the education version (non upgradable) for $300 — the box with all of the manuals probably weighed over 2 kilos!

Hey, uh, what happened to "Location" in the Network preferences (in the new, terrible System Preferences application which is simply godawful to navigate through) ???

I can set a location (that I had from before the update) using the Apple menu, but I can't seem to add locations, remove locations, etc…

The last several years, I've been waiting about 6-8 months before I update.
For Macs all you need to do is back it up your Monterey to an external APR volume using backup software. Then if it doesn't work out you can wipe SSD and reinstall the older MacOS, then use Migration Assistant to use the ASR volume to restore all settings/data/applications.

Do you mean regular map locations?

I can’t find that setting on my mac mini. Can you post screenshot?
