I popped this into Google Translate ... still not sure what it means.
Boy that’s a big ego you have.
Huge fan of google translator also.

Does it update from a Mac or does it have to be an iOS device?

I tried connecting my AirPods 2 to a Mac mini and leaving it for 45 minutes or something and it didn't update. So I've switched it to an iPhone and left it for 45 minutes, and it still didn't update. Still at 4C165. Case plugged into power, and everything at 100%.

BTW, I also have AirPods 1 with firmware 6.8.8, but I'm assuming that's the latest.

I had been trying to update with my AirPods Pro case (with AirPods inside) charging atop my MagSafe Battery Pack after using the ‘Pods to listen to an album—lid open, closed, everything…no dice. Then following what @gwhizkids mentioned working for him I took the case off the charger, with lid open, and placed next to my iPhone for a few seconds, closed the case, waited a moment, and then opened and checked on my phone: the firmware had finally updated.

Hopefully the Max now works with ATV without stuttering and crackling every few minutes. And when I tell Siri to start an outdoor run with my airpods pro on, will it launch the workout on my apple watch like it used to? Or try to get me to subscribe to fitness+? This is a new low for Apple, btw.

Dear Lord: Please dissuade people from asking or theorizing how to force a firmware update, including but not limited to:
  • Opening the case
  • Closing the case
  • Opening and then closing the case
  • Opening the case while standing on left foot, then immediately switching feet and closing the case
  • Drinking unsweetened pomegranate juice while repeatedly opening and closing the case while standing 7.3-8.4 feet from your iPhone while it is plugged in
  • Etc.
Sir, I do love your signature! Now all I have to do is train myself to live by it 100% ;)

I have the same issue! Unfortunately firmware updates in the past haven’t fixed the issue for me.
I’ve been having the issue since the day I bought them (about a year ago).
Is this just the way they were designed or is it a bug only some people have with their devices?
If you have had the problem since the day you bought them, why didn't you exchange them right away?

Ignore the last message I plugged them into the MacBook Pro and now the case also updated, does it only update the case when plugged into the mac because it’s strange I was stuck on 1.0.8

Does anyone have any improvements or any new items with their listening experience? I am thinking since all of the hardware versions received an update, it would be more security related.

Edit: The most I could gather is maybe better Bluetooth connectivity, which I would welcome.

How do you check the case firmware version?

Just got off call with Apple Support. There's a known issue that their engineers are working on since yesterday (Australia time) where AirPods (multiple products) are being automatically removed from their linked AppleID. Been having an issue with this happening every 5 minutes or so all morning. Not sure if the issues is caused by the new firmware or it was supposed to fix the issue, but it certainly hasn't as my AirPods Pro are on 4E71 now.

Well, I'm hoping to fix the stupid Bluetooth issue by switching between my MacBooks and iPhone. It was annoying that Zoom calls end up disconnected randomly.

I almost want to trash it during the Zoom meetings... and looking to get the Sony XM5.

Also, the mic sucks on AirPod Pro.

AirPod Pro
Linked to 13 ProMax, iPad Pro 11, MBP

Updated pretty quickly by …. Chuckle ;)

Immediate noticeable changes for me - Used Purple Hat, My Universe, and a mix of others.
1. Went from Spatial Fixed to Spatial Head Tracked on update
2. Bass is noticeably heavier
3. The highs, especially voice and string sounds muffled, or more muffled.
4. They connect quicker
5. I’ll see how they do tomorrow when using for calls (Cell vs Teams Calls)

One possible bug.
When I open the case to connect to my any of my devices, my wife’s Mini 6 gets the “Not your …” AirPods Pro on her device. These have only been linked to mine. Happens pretty much any time I open the case to connect. Yep, she’s annoyed :(
I’m on 15.5 b4 and she’s on 15.4.1. Might have something to do with the quicker connect? I’m guessing.

I don’t have a Mac and my Pros’ changing case is somehow at 1.3.8.
