Apple Releases New Firmware for AirPods, AirPods Max and AirPods Pro

The firmware update pointed to an internal site no one could access the update. Apparently now it’s pulled to correct that but as others mentioned their firmware update page still shows the version 5E133.
I keep hearing about this. Is this a rumor or was there some news about what the patent was, etc?
Also, it's always possible that Apple is working on their own non-infringing noise cancellation tech and are rolling that out to devices.
Pays for me to read the entire article, lol. Read the first part, tried to get my AirPods to update, couldn't, then saw the last part. 
One of mine has very low volume. I reset, cleaned and paired again, no change. I’ve resorted to changing the Balance so it sounds similar but this also lowered the overall volume. If I buy another pair I’ll always have anxiety of this happening again.
It also seems to be pretty common with AirPods.

The firmware update is available again, this time with the correct download URL so it will actually download successfully.
The update info had the wrong download link, so your iPhone would never be able to download it. They have fixed it now.
I'm happy to read that no bugs were involved...but you know....you always wonder
I open and close the case 3x, keep both it and iPhone charging. Wait.
Old firmware updated in 5 minutes. New one took an hour. Case dinged when APP2 updated, then dinged a second time when case updated.

Well covid must have had a pent-up impact… I’m more concerned with cloud services like Weather, Music and Apple Pay failing.
For those that are not on iOS 16, you will have to check in Settings, Bluetooth, and then tap on the AirPods. Scroll down to the About section and there is the version number.
Apple today introduced new 5E133 firmware for the AirPods 2, AirPods 3, the AirPods Max, the original AirPods Pro, and the AirPods Pro 2 up from the 5B58 and 5B59 firmware updates that were released in November and January.
You can check your AirPods firmware by following these steps:
- Connect your AirPods to your iOS device.
- Open the Settings app.
- Tap General.
- Tap About.
- Tap AirPods.
- Look at the number next to "Firmware Version."
My APP just updated to the new firmware. Guess it’s back ON again.
After ranting about the shameful AirPods update “process” to my Android-using roommate I looked and they had finally updated 🫢
MacRumors just edited the article deleting the mention of Apple pulling the firmware so either it was a mistake or Apple sent the firmware back out again. Either way I'm updated to 5Е133 now

Both my AirPods 3s updated very quickly once this update got turned back on. Before I'd have to really try to update them, now almost instant.
Who knows if there are any new features, not just bug fixes, it's weird that Apple made an app for apple music classical, and can't make an app for AirPods, it's annoying that u can't easily update it and change the audio quality to your liking
