My Airpods Pro 2 firmware is stuck at 6A301, but the case is upgraded to 60.82.0. Did all tips all over the internet but the buds never upgraded. Anyone who experienced this?

If you have a Mac, plug the AirPods using a lightning cable and they will update within 20 minutes.

Today buds on 6A305, but case once again downgrade from 60.83.0 to old one: 54.26.1 😂

Updated here with USBC Pro 2. 6A303 improved the ANC for me so looking forward to trying the new firmware. These things are amazing. Love they’re getting better and better each week.

Has anyone else noticed lag now when opening your phone (and listening to music) I have an 15PM , was fine before but now since the update when im listening to Apple music and swipe up to open the phone, the lag is terrible. If i remove the airpods and case them, the lag goes away. I have already rebooted the phone.

this is with the APP2

What kind of lag? In the sound? Or in the phone opening and displaying the home screen?

I had AirPods Pro gen 1 and gen 2 on launch day. The AirPods Pro 2 are still not as good as the first Pros with that original firmware.
This. I’ve had them both and can’t understand how people think the second gen’s ANC is better. For me it’s worse.

Maybe an earlier firmware with different ANC? Also people’s opinions are subjective. Something outstanding to me may be garbage to you.

Doesn’t mean either of us are wrong either. This kinda stuff depends on how it fits your individual ear as well subjective opinion. I have memory foam tips if it helps. Game changers.

In my experience, this also tends to work with an iPad (or iPhone, now that iPhone 15 has a USB type C port!).

Have had AirPods 1st and 2nd Gen... Then AirPods Pro 1st and now 2nd gen and I just love them. They are by far the best headphones for casual use Ive ever had.. out of all my tech, as long as I have my iPhone and AirPods Pro I'm happy!

Glad to see the focus Apple give to these devices... I really love transparency and adaptive transparency. Love to be able to stay aware of my surroundings.

BTW there I dislike the 'Pro' thing.. these should just be called AirPods.. and the cheaper version AirPods SE... There is nothing Pro about what they do. Its meaningless
Maybe the 'pro' bit is that they actually fit your ears! 🤣 You're right though, the pros are decent casual headphones, the regular ones feel like stripped back/light versions.

Is it just me or does transparency feel boosted over normal hearing?

My case is still at 54.26.1 but the buds did upgrade from 303 to 305. They sound a little more bright and airy. Which I kinda prefer tbh. So all is good. However, the weird thing is that both my APP2 cases are stuck on the old firmware version (yes I have 2 APP2). What’s going on here?!
My cases just updated to 60.83.0 \0/. Apple did change the soundstage though. It seems like they’ve slightly boosted the mid range. They sound more balanced and also more immersive imo. They should open up the soundstage tweak abilities and let us decide for ourselves. Sound is so personal. Anyway, I’m a happy chap again.

The update installed on my Pro 2's just yesterday and must I say. Wow. What a difference!

For years I have been getting this consistently annoying nagging/nar sound. I couldn't quite put my finger on it. Usually it would happen when I am trying to watch my favorite shows or right after I sit down to listen to some music after a long hard day of work.

It would seem as if it would come and go between the left and right channels.

Well. Once I installed the update I can hear clearly now that it's my Wife and I will be filing for divorce today. THANK YOU APPLE 🙌🧘‍♂️

Mine never updated to 60.82.0 in the first place, been at 54.26.1 for a while. I continue to be baffled by the decision to make everything firmware update related completely opaque for AirPods, just why?
case is now showing 60.83.0 for me

Ever since it updated, my AirPods balance is off after changing the volume on my Mac. The balance is fine after connecting and not changing the volume, but as soon as I change it, the right ear goes quieter than the left. Anyone else experiencing this?

Funny thing is that over the weekend, my case was at 51.11.1 and I forgot/reset the case/airpods and the case updated to 60.82.0

same its so annoying

Time is actually not part of the dimensions. It was once thought of as the 4th dimension though.

Wait how is it not? I thought it was officially called space-time now since they are two sides of the same thing. Things can be in the same space at different times, and same time in different space, but not both. Do we not move forward through space and time in that sense? I'm not good enough at math to understand the real answer but it seems dimensional to me.

Maybe not the literal fourth dimension since I guess the answer has something to do with the concept of higher spatial dimensions. But it's gotta be in there somewhere.

I'm finding that whilst the sound stage has improved on my AirPods Pro 2, and I can even more detail in music (which is great!), the noise cancellation is getting worse and worse. In my gym, I'm having to wear Ear Defenders (such as are used on construction sites) to get rid of all unnecessary noise. When I first got them, I was so impressed by everything but as time has gone on, the ANC has declined significantly. I don't like the Sony-Like feature of Adaptive sound, it's terrible and I find if I mumble to myself, the music stops! Also, I cannot switch between Transparency and ANC anymore, only off and ANC. Transparency was very useful in a crowded shop where I try to hear the assistant behind the counter. I can now longer access if from my AirPods.

I really do think they are the best sounding earbuds on the market today but I wish Apple would improve the ANC back to how it was before, or make it even better.
