It seems you won't take possession of your computer until August!! So maybe you should Call Apple to see if you can still get the rebate for the Display. It would be sad if you couldn't.

No. You Need To Be A Select Member To Get Discounts. That costs thousands a year. Educational is the best you and I can do without knowing an employee or developer with spare discount purchases they are willing to share.

So where are people seeing this delivery or ship date of 8/2 ??? I just ordered a 2.5 and I thought it said shipping in July, but that may not have been an accurate estimation. What's the deal??

I called Apple--they told me that it should ship much sooner than that.

I think they gave themselves plenty of head room so they won't end up in trouble if the systems do take that long to ship.

I think they gave themselves plenty of head room so they won't end up in trouble if the systems do take that long to ship.

Thanks a lot dude. When did you order yours? I ordered mine today, hopefully the couple days since they were released won't push me back to an august delivery.

My ideal shipment would be in early july so I could add a new display to the order/discount... new display... WWDC?... who said that? ...

Looking for a new PowerMac, are ya? My vote is for a 1.25GHz G4 PowerMac, 256MB RAM, Combo Drive, ATI Radeon 9000 Pro - with no upgrades - a sweeeeet machine and only $1,299!

Given the choices you've provided, I'd buy a 2.0 refurb on Apple's web site for $1999.

Other than that, I'd choose the 2.5.

As opposed to all the good intentions in the world? Besides, I've yet to read about a film being hindered by kickass macs being a hinderance in creating a good film.

That film had some high hopes, but damn if it doesn't give me a headache watching the full thing... did it really need to be a trilogy? Ok sorry for talking about non-apple stuff...

I can't believe that there are more negative posts than positive. What would it take for the majority of people to buy from this site? Buy and be happy, I waited since January largly due to the cursed rumor sites. finally I broke down and purchased a 1.8 refurb for $1,999 three weeks ago. Unfortunately they now have dual 2.0's for the same price, and their price guarantee is only 10 days, so there was nothing that I could have done. However when you look at the benchmarks, the 2.0 is only a little faster, so I am still pleased, the thing is fast.

Most of the people complaining on this site are probably 12 year olds posting from their parent's Dell. They're never going to buy anything, because their net worth is $46.15.
