18 minutes left to DL, really slow connection at work, i'm running 1.5 meg if i'm lucky. I'll be more than happy to cancel if everyone else is having such issues, I can't go withuot a phone all day.

I've been looking around the App Store whilst my iPhone is restoring to the 2.0 - suddenly not excited anymore. They're essentially like dashboard widgets - 95% are fairly pointless.

I like the remote idea though.

just made some coffee and when I came back my phone was Activated, but iTunes is acting very very slow today.

I think because it is checking all of the new apps I downloaded and put on my phone yesterday.

But I did restore just for giggles, and it does take a long time to finish. Stay with it people its computer science, not rocket science.....

just got the error cannot restore iphone as well. now im attempting another restore. i need my phone for work in 2 hours. You hear me apple, 2 hours

mine finally connected to the iTunes store and is putting my media back on the phone.

My home screen now has a App Store icon.

probably took about 20 minutes after the restore to finally get through the iTunes store.

20 minutes!!

I'll go get some coffee. I'm at the same point: "Accessin iTunes Store"

Mine updated fine, and activated fine. I now have 2.0 on the phone, and the appstore icon etc.

However, none of my contacts synced at all. Now, when I click on the iphone icon to go to sync them, it jus says "accessing itunes store" at the top and "iPhone" in the middle.

I've ejected and reconnected many times.

Why does it need to access the itunes store to show me my iphone? thats new from the last version of itunes isnt it?

For information, I'm in the UK and therefore on o2. I suspect they are involved; such a screwup reeks of o2.

I am on a very fast line right now and was getting the same speed.

It went through spurts of speeding up/slowing down but that is to be expected today

IPhone Update after installing leaked version yesterday

For those who have asked, I just tried the simple "Restore" approach to replace the 225 MB version with the 218 MB version. First time I clicked Restore, I got a prompt telling me the process could not complete it. I clicked it again immediately and it worked. Downloading now....

Screw it Ill just leave it home.. I have someone in line for me still @ Att store to get 3g ..... ACCESSING ITUNES STORE <------------SUCKS:mad::apple:

Really "pointless" most are free, no one is forcing you to download them, so don't if they don't meet your fancy, but don't bring your negativity to this thread ! :D

Starting to get really annoyed that it's telling me there's something wrong with my connection, haha.

I'm started to get worried that some of you can use your phones and I can't. Is there something wrong with mine? It still hasn't connect to the iTunes store but I don't see why it has to I'm not activating the phone I did that when I bought the thing last July...

I've been stuck on 'Accessing iTunes Store...' for at least 45 minutes now. Everything else in the download went fine, and now I'm stuck here. Ugh, I need to take my phone out with me.

It probably isn't you

The Apple serves are being absolutely bombarded today

1 more try and I'm going to have to go phone-less for a few hours. Sick of this damn error and having to keep click iPhone over and over...
Thanks for the support Apple...

Mine was stuck for 23 minutes and I stopped it. It is definitely a network capacity issue. I started the procedure again...This time I will wait as long as it takes.

I apologize if this has been asked/answered...why does iTunes not see it the "traditional" way...my phone keeps trying to access the iTunes store before letting me access it like before.
