iPhone is fixed .... restoring from backup

Called my office tech / Microsoft guru fixed it .... if you are on a PC go to control panel - internet options - select only 1(one) of the following SSL 3.0 or TSL 1.0

I did SSL 3.0 and it came right up

Thanks to PC

this did not work for me.

at what point of the update is everyone having problems?

i downloaded the update, it backed up my phone, it's gone through all the normal stuff... right now it says "Restoring iPhone firmware"

are these problems still ahead of me???

Every turd muffin with a hiccup feels the need to render the voting system basically pointless on this site.

Im all good to go now. 2.0 on my phone UK 02 and just putting data back on. then its off to play with it like it was when i first bought it. monkey ball look out

Well, the App Store is working now at least on iTunes but every time I connect/reconnect my phone to the computer it keeps giving me the error right away

Not even trying to connect to the store I believe

chill

everyone panicking needs to chill out. calm down. take a deep breath. it's not the end of the world, and your iphone is not bricked.

apple's servers are just overwhelmed with the strain of all the new 3g activations, iphone, and ipod touch upgrades going on at the same time. this doesn't mean they 'suck at managing servers' or have 'pulled a vista'. this could happen to any company, no matter how well prepared they are. no IT infrastructure is perfect.

so just calm down, you can live without your phone for a few hours while they get things sorted. come back later today, their servers will be up, and you'll be able to activate your phone by plugging it in. i'll be picking up my 3g after work today...

or you could ignore this and just go back to OMGZ I GET ERRORZ APPLE SUX WTF IPHONE

Finally restoring after getting the "couldn't connect" for quite a while... just kept clicking "ok" and trying again and again...

Was updating my iPhone and when it tried to access the

iTunes store, it displayed error message 9838 and said to try again later. What am I supposed to do now? The phone didn't complete the upgrade, and now I've been on hold with Apple support for 45 minutes. Geez, nothing can be simple with these things.

hell yea, just got past it after about an hour and fifteen minutes!

good luck everyone

Remote App

The remote app is super-sweet! I added my Apple TV and iTunes, and you can choose which to control at any time. Very well done!

NOW, I'm REALLY CONFUSED!

That's the same pre-release build from YESTERDAY!

How is that possible?

The file is actually different though. The official one is smaller. and has a time stamp of 1 minute newer.

If you have the leaked version I would suggest waiting till all this mess is over with before restoring to the official version.

HOw do you restore it back?

I held down the home button (black one at the bottom) and the button that is top right. Hold them until the screen goes black *about 5 seconds* and it goes into recovery mode.

Then you will see the iTunes icon & usb connector.
