this is total BS, it is no user's fault that apple's system isn't working and our phones are now bricked.

yes, but at the same time there have been loads of posts with people experiencing problems. This is why I've yet to try to update.

So, you aren't really a "happydude"? LOL - really, this isn't such a huge deal... give them a couple of hours or a day and it will all be over. Get real - if you really thought it would be perfect on the first day, then you are the fool.

I'll post the email when I get it... it's true, just spent 70 plus minutes on the phone with apple care and they just hooked me up with a shuffle for my troubles. Go call and tell them you need your contact info.

how am i suppose to make that call when I'm with a non-call functioning iphone?

everything is working great. apps are installing, software update installed the SECOND time without a hitch...

Good news here, the iTunes store finally let me in after multiple attempts over the last hour or so and I can now sync!! Must be clearing up....

2 and a half hours and counting.....if my girlfriend can't get hold of me for much longer, she's gonna think i'm having an affair!

Yay

Keep trying guys i have been clicking movies, iPhone, waiting the pressing ok on the error message for as long as the update has been available, 1.5 hrs, and it finally went the the activation screen. Perseverance guys.

*** DANGER DANGER WIL ROBINSON ***

Just to let people know, MacWorld.com is erroneously giving out the link to YESTERDAY's final BETA 5a347 2.0 release saying it's the official one, NOT TODAY's OFFICIAL 2.0 firmware! So if you think you evaded the Apple server problems by getting today's firmware from MacWorld, ooops, WRONG! HAha! Too funny.

Also, if there really is any real difference or problems with yesterday's leaked version that is different than today's, Apple is going to have an S-LOAD of problems on their hands far worse than this morning's server issues! HAha!

Nonetheless, my iPhone is working just fine, but I guess we'll see whether more people actually end up with the BETA than the REAL 2.0 software.

I'm starting to think Apple is going to have to release 2.1 by Monday just to fix this fiasco!

continuing to try to access the itunes store, fortunately it is taking longer than last time, maybe that is a good sign?
