Restore

If you all are paranoid like me, just hit the "restore" on iTunes and it will download the latest firmware release. I'm doing that now just to be on the safe side. I did upgrade yesterday but I have noticed that my iPhone was laggy with some of the new Apps. I'll let you know if this changes anything.

I'm getting it now in NYC.

It downloaded but now I'm stuck preparing iPhone software for restore. The pinwheel is just running on the iPhone for like 10 minutes.

error on restore - iphone now in recovery mode:mad:

oh well retrying but no doubt due to crazy traffic

yeah mine just did this as well.

edit: now that i deleted the .ispw file from my library, its downloading 1.1.4 when i clicked restore.

iPhone1,1_2.0_5A347_Restore.ipsw

I can't wait to update and start using the Apps that I downloaded yesterday. Does anyone know if the firmware is going to allow more pages on the home screen? I think that you can have up to 4 on 1.1.4 and with all the great new Apps I can see people needing more.

Actually, 1.1.4 already allowed 8 pages, I believe.

Someone PLEASE tell me how long the "Prepping iPhone software for restore" process is taking you. I'm entering 10 minutes and wondering if it's locked up. Thank you.
