My Day, Your Day?

I am wondering how many people did what I did today....

1)Woke up at 7:30, showered, got ready for work.
2)Did not have time to DL new software and let it backup/sync with fear of being late for work.
3)Packed up my laptop, dock, mouse, and brought to work with me.
4)Set up everyting at my desk, and ran into the 2.0 nightmare problem.
5)Did not do any work all day, just constantly clicked Music and iPhone praying that it would activate.
6)Was unable to use phone all day, out of touch with the world.
7)Finally goes through at 3:30.
8) Phone is almost done syncing movies/music/apps over an hour later.
9) When I leave work at 5, I will have spent the ENTIRE day messing around trying to get this software running properly.
10)If I get fired, apple owes me a job!!!!!!

touch user

Apple is now saying that a 2.0 is available, instead of telling me that 1.4 is the latest, but still not connecting. This is looking good.

Well my 1st gen iPhone has been completely frozen for 2 hours now after trying to download 2.0...

*sigh*, now I can't sync my apps. It says my computer isn't authorized. I've tried deleting and redownloading the apps, but that didn't help.

What a ****ing cluster****.

trying in London

Can I just check if anyone in the UK has managed to upgrade an old iPhone to 2.0 via iTunes?

I've tried installing yesterday's version but didn't work so I restored to 1.1.4 and now have been trying on iTunes for ever with no joy....

Any advice?

Thanks

Just authorize the computer. Go to store then authorize computer

Well, I was finally able to restore/sync/update/etc my iPhone but now my apps don't work. None of them (7). They just show me the opening screen and then they close.

The only thing is after it restores you may not be able to sync apps.

you will be able to sync it but like me i cant get apps on.
and thats because the page where you select what movies and apps and all that you want synced isn't showing up.

itunes will not connect is why
which doesnt make sense.
because i can browse the store.

your music will be there though.

so it will hold off. you can still make calls and stuff.

i finished and everything workes fine!!!:D:D:D finaly!!

as u saied i cant copy alreaddy downloaded aps from my pc to the iphone!! i don't know why but i can dowload them directly from my iphone via app store!!:confused:

thx 4 all the help i recived here all day long!!:) i think i would have freaked out without u guys!!:D

I eventually gave up and went back to prior version after not having a phone for 4 hours.

*sigh* No one has a clue what "bricking" a device means. It means your device is toast, 100% unrecoverable... dead forever and ever. Like when you flash a router with 3rd party firmware and it fails, and there's no way to recover it.. you bricked your router.

Your iPhones are NOT bricked! Because they're always recoverable later.

Anyone having any luck synching with Mobile Me? I'm trying to get my contacts but nothing's happening...

Activated!

Had the spinning bar on iTunes while it tried to connect for literally five hours. I finally gave up and closed it, clicked onto a random file in iTunes, re-clicked back on iPhone - and it went straight through and activated immediately. So... if you're sitting there just watching it spin, maybe do the same.

Mine still says version 1.1.4???

anyone know why mine is still saying 1.1.4 is the newest version. Did apple pull the 2.0???
