Program Crashes Pre-Released 2.0

Well the first thing one might say is why didn't you wait for the official release, with that being said I just wanted to ask if anyone has had these problems while using several programs with the New 2.0 software upgrade for the iPhone.

Do you get programs exiting before you exit, seems like a crash and it happened with many programs so far, games, utilities... etc. Just general unstable behavior since the upgrade.

Thanks in advance

Where are all you guys getting the iPhone OS 2.0 image?

iTunes tells me version 1.1.4 is the current version.

I didn't even want to update (yet), just wondering...

(I did update iTunes earlier today.)

There are links a few pages back in this post

I've been on the official 2.0 for a while and it's stable. No bugs or anything so far yet. I hope most everyone had the update by now. It's great. My favorite game right now is Cube Runner. I advise everyone to check it out. I have super monkey ball but it's super hard. So I just play Cube Runner. :)

Safari seems snappier...

Sorry, couldn't help it.
As the mood of the forum is lifting, I'm going to go for it, wish me luck ;)

Ahhh!!! I had downloaded 2.0 earlier, ready to install. iTunes said Install Ready, but when I clicked the button it says you have the latest version 1.1.4!!!! Looks like Apple have withdrawn it for a while, for some of us anyway.

This is a DRM thing I believe. Delete the application and redownload from App Store. You won't be charged again, even for the pay apps and it will work once you redownload.

I was lucky and got my update early this morning when it was first released through iTunes. My phone seems a bit sluggish now. Like when a program launches or closes the growing/shrinking animation isn't always smooth. Sometimes it almost "stutters" a bit.
Also, I just picked it up to look up a phone number and I went into Contacts and tried to scroll and nothing happened. I ran my finger up and down the screen and it seemed to be frozen. I clicked the Home button and it worked and I went back into Contacts and it worked. A bit later I tried it again and the scrolling was jerky.

Again, this wasn't the update file from yesterday. This was from iTunes this morning. Anyone else notice anything like this?

heck yes!

Me too! I love cube runner!

Wow, what terrible journalism. The article doesn't even say anything concretely negative about the iPhone itself, much less anything about an infestation of software bugs.

I'm surprised they can legally get away with that kind of title.

I've been in the offices of NBC (keep in mind they're owned by microsoft). They have their interns find "news" from any source possible and then just phrase it live however they feel. I don't even watch news anymore it's so biased and inaccurate it just makes my start twitching and hit things.

I wouldn't expect anything less from that tabloid garbage news channel.
It's basically the NY Post on TV!

Hmm

So I was foolish enough to update using the pre-release 2.0 update and now I'm not sure what's going wrong. Seems other people have been able to use the restore tool to update to the latest 2.0 firmware. When I press Restore I get an error with no number telling me "the resource" is missing (or something along those lines.) Anyways, I got the new .ipsw and did the restore and the check for update by manually choosing the new firmware file and they both seem to have gone through...Is my phone really updated though? How can I tell?

How do you save a pic from a website on your phone so you can use it as a background????

it's giving you this error because apple pulled the 2.0 update for now, the restore function is looking for the 2.0 software, but can't find it. wait until apple puts it back up, then you should be able to restore.

I was just about to post the same thing. That was incendiary reporting with nothing to back it up at all.

That title was designed to make people look at the ads on the next page.
