I guess those of us who jumped the gun and loaded 347 are screwed.

How are we screwed?

My iPhone is running fine, not a single problem.

Until someone can give me a convincing reason to RESTORE, I'm not touching my iPhone.

The only app so far to me that has seemed buggy is AIM and that's only because it's been written by AOL's team of Mac programmers who have nothing but WINDOWS programming experience!! HAha!
At least that's what's been pretty much ratted out on the AOL Desktop Mac beta chat rooms. So, I'd expect AIM to be buggy for quite awhile on ANY version of 2.0 firmware since AOL is the Mac gang that can't shoot straight.

I'm getting it now in NYC.

It downloaded but now I'm stuck preparing iPhone software for restore. The pinwheel is just running on the iPhone for like 10 minutes.
Woohoo!!! It took about 10 minutes to prepare, now it's restoring the iPhone software. That seems to go pretty fast. Now it's verifying software....

Just plugged in the iPhone, downloading it now :D

Woo, done! Seems to be 5A347 indeed :D

Interesting, the build is iPhone1,1_2.0_5A347_Restore rather than iPhone1,2_2.0_5A347_Restore. This is for an original 4 gig iPhone.

Phone says it is now "waiting for activation". Now settings have been restored and restarting.

Someone PLEASE tell me how long the "Prepping iPhone software for restore" process is taking you. I'm entering 10 minutes and wondering if it's locked up. Thank you.

It should take anywhere from 15 to 25 minutes depending how much crap you had on there in the first place. So impatient...

impatient |imˈpā sh ənt|
adjective
1 restlessly eager : they are impatient for change | [with infinitive ] he was impatient to be on his way.

According to my iTunes 2.0 doesn't exist, because I have the most current version 1.1.4.

Mr. Steve-man, give me my update, I've waited patiently! :)

Yesterday was 1,2 ... Today is 1,1 and the same build number.

I just used restore and am now resynching all 15 gigs. I hope audiobooks are still not broken. Couldn't get some 26+ hour files to play.
