Has Apple been better at releasing more timely bug fixes this year than they've been for the past few years?

With 10.11, Apple has had 6 releases in 8 months.
With 10.10, Apple had 6 releases in 11 months.
With 10.9, Apple had 6 releases in 12 months.

If Apple keeps up the current pace, they could hit 10.11.7 before moving on to 10.12. Might be a more stable version than they've had in a long time...

Or maybe it's just had more bugs that they've had to fix?

I'm not trying to be negative, I'm being logical...

Anyone with a Late 2012 iMac with the NVIDIA 680MX graphics try this yet? I haven't had the freezing issues, but updating makes me scared that problems might start.

It now recognizes by Western My Passport Air using the MultiAdaptor for USB-C port on my new Macbook 2016. Saved me a trip to the Apple Store this afternoon

Not sure if it was just a sorely needed reboot or not, but getting far less beachballing than I was before installing, (well far less in that I've had none so far, and had a beachball just using 1password or changing tabs before installing). Time will tell if its truly better though.

So no new iTunes yet?

Has been released and I have downloaded same

I hope this fixes the issue where my iMac randomly looses it, freezes and restarts all by itself. A $3,000 machine shouldn't do this, especially in the middle of work.

Any word on whether this fixes (or attempts to fix) the system freeze issues from 10.11.4 on 13" rMBPs?

so will my rMBP finally shut down properly?

I've been having issues with Safari, where it appears to be unresponsive for a second, particularly while scrolling. Really hope it's fixed!

Any mac freezing -with final 10.11.5- so far?

Did 10.11.3 cause your display to shut off and then never wake back up?

What on earth are you guys doing to your system that causes issues ? Not with Yosemite or this current OS have I had any problems. Of course I don't fool around with things. Everything stock and all have worked well. Only downloaded app would be a weather app.

Probably something to do with Flash player. Had this issue while doing my online courses among other resource heavy stuff. Uninstalled Flash and install Chrome for my studies. Safari doesn't crash anymore for anything else.

Oh I know, so annoying. Let's hope this fixes it, although the latest beta didn't (although it became a bit more stable)

People that are experiencing beachballs or other issues, this is not always an OS issue, you could be having a hardware issue, possibly a hard drive or SSD issue, depending on what you have installed. Perhaps its time to do a verify or fix disk and see if anything pops up for repair.

Speaking for myself…I never had any problems either, until 10.11.4. I’ve installed such crazy apps as MS Office, a text editor, Steam, Scrivener. No crazy hacks.

Maybe, you know, when a lot of people start having the same problem after an OS upgrade…maybe it was a bug in the OS that caused it? Not the people who are just using their computers in ordinary ways?

If you never install any software then why the **** did you waste money on a Macbook?

Yeah, all these ppl are just messing their mac with crappy apps...
Everytime there is a bug that doesn't touch everyone we have this kind of comments

Oh, and btw, didn't know a mac had to be used only with stock apps. Thanks for letting me know!

Still does not fix the bluetooth woes I have with Apple peripherals (both old version and this latest ones).
Out of the sudden keyboard and trackpad will start acting weird, keyboard turns unresponsive and jittery as if I'm pressing other keys or no keys and trackpad just lags out constantly.
You can see the keyboard situation here:
