Installed update right-away on my mid-2010 MBP hires which experienced GPU panics about once a week or less often with 10.11.3. With 10.11.4 it got worse: more panics and some freezes as a bonus. This could be caused by the solder wearing out even more. But I doubt this.
Combo update took a while to install but it seems to work. The 'Service Battery' status message disappeared. That's one fix already. Too early to say the freezes & panics are something of the past. But at least the update does work and MBP feels snappier.

I hope this fixes the issue where my iMac randomly looses it, freezes and restarts all by itself. A $3,000 machine shouldn't do this, especially in the middle of work.

I have a $5k PC that does that, especially under compute heavy workloads. It all depends on what you're doing. GPU heavy compute at high VRAM volumes will cause Mac OS X to become unstable as much of the UI depends on GPU acceleration.

On a production station, Mac or PC, occasional freezes and reboots are not uncommon in my line of work. If you're a heavy user, it will crash eventually.

curious if this fixes the fleeing dock when using multiple screens.
I use an HDMI screen at work and occasionally the dock changes to the other screen when I try to open something.

Still does not fix the bluetooth woes I have with Apple peripherals (both old version and this latest ones).
Out of the sudden keyboard and trackpad will start acting weird, keyboard turns unresponsive and jittery as if I'm pressing other keys or no keys and trackpad just lags out constantly.
You can see the keyboard situation here:

Anyone else actually experiencing this issue? If not, then its probably a hardware issue, not a software issue, if you think its a software issue, did you do a clean install and see if does the same thing? If you assumed its OS X without any real trouble-shooting and no else has a similar issue, perhaps its time to dig a little deeper..

I'm on the latest beta and the final does not appear in the App Store. My iMac, which is not on beta, has it though. Anybody here updating from the 15F31a beta?

Having in mind that my iMac has been 2 times to an Apple Service Center and it comes back always saying there is no issue with bluetooth modules I have to believe it's OS related.

Also never happened to me before Yosemite and now El Capitan.

Maybe it's hardware, but am I supposed to find out or Apple is ?

Edit:
I have also submitted several bug reports and gathered debug level logs of bluetooth and sent to Apple only to have those reports closed as duplicates.

Could it be a third-party app or system integration? Was it freezing and restarting when you first bought it? Easy to blame the OS, but it _may_ not be that. Put it through its paces in a fresh user account without any of the third-party stuff and custom fonts installed. That might identify something.

Also, all of that stuff is logged. Check Console.app for details on why it's freezing and restarting.

Has Apple been better at releasing more timely bug fixes this year than they've been for the past few years?

With 10.11, Apple has had 6 releases in 8 months.
With 10.10, Apple had 6 releases in 11 months.
With 10.9, Apple had 6 releases in 12 months.

If Apple keeps up the current pace, they could hit 10.11.7 before moving on to 10.12. Might be a more stable version than they've had in a long time...

It really doesn't mean anything. They could be releasing smaller list of bug fixes per update instead.

Not sure if it was just a sorely needed reboot or not, but getting far less beachballing than I was before installing, (well far less in that I've had none so far, and had a beachball just using 1password or changing tabs before installing). Time will tell if its truly better though.

If it is just 1Password, you might want to check if there's a bug with 1Password itself. I saw a few tweets saying they're working on a freezing issue.

It did show up for me on both Macs running the 10.11.5 b5.

Four releases so far, none has fixed the random bluetooth mouse and keyboard disconnect issue. Let's see what version five does.

Very happy about it! I'm going to try if it fixes NetInstall boot.

Hmm – even restart didn't help. Oh well. I'll wait. The beta is perfectly stable for me and I have no problems whatsoever.

Set your DNS to 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4, I did this before and it showed up, and I am in the Netherlands too, had that happen to me before and setting the DNS to Googles DNS seems to always work.

My MacBook Pro 13" (Early 2015) has also freezed quite frequently and randomly since OS X 11.4 and I send it to Apple. Unfortunately they send it back after a week saying that they were not able to find any issue yet it still froze just yesterday. Therefore I think that (in this case) OS X is to blame.
But I just hope that Apple fixed this huge issue with their latest update...

Getting really random freezes across the entire Mac if Safari is open. Hadn't happened before 10.11.5 :(

--UPDATE- after a restart, this issue seems to be gone
