I saw it in App Store app which offered iPhoto 9.4. Grabbed it and the "Update" option left myiCloud pref and was replaced with "Options".

Hmmm...not showing up on my end under updates. If i search through it on the App Store it doesn't even say update like it normally would with Evernote, it just tell's me the price. Do I need to purchase it even though it came installed on my Mac? o.0

I find that if your fast enough and unselect contacts & calendar after you sign in it will not add all your FB friends to your contacts listing. I did this on my iMac, iPhone and iPad and it works like a charm.

I found Facebook integration......

It is in System Preferences under Mail, Contacts, and Calendars

<sigh>

very broken update.

Shutting down fails to close open apps.

On reboot I get a "this system was restarted due to a problem" error dialog.

10.8.0 was pretty good for me, it's getting less stable with each update. I just hope they've fixed the Safari freezing badness.

Apple's servers are really on top of it today! Just downloaded the whole 370MB update in less than a minute. I was expecting to have to wait a half hour or more with this and iOS 6 both launching.

Even though I will not use that FaceBook integration on the system -only because I don't use that social network anymore-, I like so much this update. I feel the system more... You know :p

Seriously, transitions seem faster, smoother, and the boot and restart times are a bit shorter. I don't know, maybe is a placebo effect, but I'm so satisfied with this update that I'll reinstall OS X 10.8.2 on a clean install.

I have to say I've been doing some tests with Mountain Lion since it's launch, installing all sort of software and messing arround, just to push it to its limits.

The next will be the definitive install.

Also, with 10.8.1 I was suffering some sort of glitch regarding spaces and Mission Control. Three finger gestures didn't work sometimes; other times safari scroll was locked and showed 99% on System Monitor ¿Did anyone have that kind of issues?

Hopefully, all that will be fixed with 10.8.2

Oh, I almost forget. For the ones asking the build number:

External Display Issue

After updating, I can no longer use only my external display with my MBP open. Previously I had run the following:

Code:
sudo nvram boot-args="iog=0x0"

This would let me use only the external and keep my laptop open. It was working fine earlier today, then I upgraded to 10.8.2 and it no longer works.

I've reset pvram, rerun this command, even installed the 10.8.2 combo update and it simply won't work.

Anyone else seeing this or have other ideas I can try?

maybe it fixes?

My Retina MacBook battery life after update, had about 5hours before on same screen dimness etc...

Its supposed to fix battery usage. Someone has proven this already?

I haven't said nothing regarding battery life because 10.8.1 already fixed that in my 2010 13" MBP. That update gave me back my 5 hours of autonomy.

Lets hope this update bring us even more battery life.

I just signed into Facebook, and it put all of my friends into my contact book which pretty much made it impossible to navigate. I want the facebook integration but that address book skewing is killing me. I couldn't imagine scrolling through 500+ names in my iPhone when I want to call my parents or something.

When I added Facebook integration, it put all my Facebook contacts in a separate group from the contact through iCloud. I can see them in the Contact app but they have not synced to my iPhone.

Which is a good thing. I guess if you wanted some of them on your phone, you could create a group under iCloud and drag cards from the Facebook group.

Try using the "turn off screen" shortcut: Shift+Control+Eject... Ok, I just realised that if you start working with the computer, the screen turns on inmediately.

So... dim the brightness to minimum... I don't know a better solution.

Still works fine for me. Did you restart after running the command?

Yeah, many times. This is an early 2011 17" MBP with the latest LED cinema display (non thunderbolt one).

Now it will go to sleep and when I press any key on the keyboard it will wake up. However, it goes back to sleep after a few seconds. Earlier when I would wake it up the screen would adjust to the proper res, no going back to sleep, and I could open the lid.

If you have an after-market SSD:

If it hasn't already been said, always check to see if TRIM ENABLER (a program) gets automatically turned "off" when you upgrade your Mac OS and you have an after-market SSD installed. You have to turn it back on in my personal experience.

I don't understand why, but my Time Machine backup after this OS update took forever. It was just a 2GB update since my last Time Machine backup from a few days ago.

Can anyone tell me that is it safe to update or upgrade from to Lion to Mountain Lion or too soon to tell?

How does this update bring Game Center? I've had that since 10.8.0. Or is it just the ability to push from Game Center to Facebook...?

Facebook integration in contacts does not work anywhere near where it should. It SHOULD work like Facebook integration in Android, i.e. sync only the contacts you already have, pick and choose what contact is connected with what Facebook contact (in case the names differ). It just outright doesn't work the way it should.

Strange. Try an SMC reset.

Can anyone tell me that is it safe to update or upgrade from to Lion to Mountain Lion or too soon to tell?

I upgraded within a few days of the first/original release of Mountain Lion and haven't experienced 1 problem since my upgrade. I'm using a 13" MBP that is a couple of years old. That being said, everyone always seems to have a different experience.

My battery life did "seem" to be less than with Lion. But, I could be imaginging this. I often run my laptop directly via household current vs.. cycling the battery like many people do. I'm really not that portable.

As of right now, after this most recent update, my battery life indicator shows that I have 6 hours left at 97% charge. That's with Chrome and Safari running.... Chrome having 10 tabs open and Safari having 2 tabs open. Brightness for the screen and keyboard is at 50% each. Battery cycles indicate 494 with battery health at 86% (4972mAh). Using after-market SSD.
