There is still lag in animations in mission control. Hopefully that will be sorted out soon.

That could be a bucketful of debugging code that these betas, I would think, have in them. Plus, if you read the legal stuff they could be tracking a whole lot of what you do just to see what is really going on with their OS, so that kind of stuff could be sucking up CPU cycles too.

iPhoto rendering bug fixed?

Does anybody know if this fixed the problem with rendering photos on edit in iPhoto and Aperture? I was unable to edit photos in previous DPs thanks to a rendering glitch. I don’t believe this was a universal problem, but affected my late 2010 (?) MBP. Won't be able to test this update until late tonight (thx to work)

iTunes Match still isn't loading for me to be able to "get info" a song, but here is a general idea.

Thanks! Looks nice. What is the "Add Field" option in the first image? Dare I say this means we can add our own info fields?

What does the "Get Info" window in iTunes 12 look like? The notes mention that it's been re designed.

It's the same stuff, but with a picture of the album at the top with the name/artist/ect. and the background matching the basic color of the cover (wow -- if you don't have all of your album art and stuff iTunes must look like crap...I've got all of mine), but think the same kind of look of the labels and fields and stuff as the window that comes up when you are editing an event in iCal. That's the first thing it reminded me of.

Do you think it will be seamless or do you think apple will make you install mavericks first and then update to the public beta.

Apple hasn't released an OS update in years, beta or otherwise, that required a previous OS version to be installed. You can upgrade any previous release from 10.6 on, or install fresh on a blank drive or partition.

New dark mode checkbox.

Dark mode pref was in DP3.

So it's basically useless.

No, it's unfinished and he's speculating about what the final version might have.

I never noticed it before, but I'll be eternally grateful if it will auto update OS X versions from now on! No more having to manually do the families computers.

(sorry for the chopped pic, had to hide my email and that was the quick and easy way)

Not new, been around for a while..since at least the first Yosemite beta, if not since Mavericks.

Maybe iTunes 12 on Windows 8.1 won't be a complete pile like iTunes 11 is. Granted, Apple's priority isn't Windows support, but still, with a majority iOS users still owning a PC, a functional version of iTunes for Windows would be nice.

The old shortcut doesn't work, and I don't see a menu command for it so.. how do we get the iTunes sidebar back, again?

They changed it to a checkbox and changed the wording, it's no longer a "theme" and it specifically says it changes the dock and menu. Looks like they changed their minds, or a full theme version won't be ready for 10.0.

It's not in Mavericks.

Arrghh, what about actually being able to see the album covers properly in iTunes 12, since this basic feature was removed in iTunes 11???

iTunes is perfectly functional for me on my Windows 8.1 machine.

In fact iTunes has always been fine for me on Windows... I don't quite see why it gets such an insane amount of hate.

DP4 is the worst of all.

Taking a lot of time to Boot in ( MBP 17" Late 2011 )

Complete OS became very slow.
