Is Safari tab switching on a late 2013 retina Macbook Pro supposed to be slightly laggy (since DP1) or is it just my install?

This update stalled after the first reboot at 22 minutes and then completely hosed the Yosemite partition.

Ouch. Well. BUG REPORT!!! :D

That's why as I get older I quit beta testing. I do appreciate your efforts though.

It knows which mouse you have, too.

Here's the notification on first boot asking about Auto Updates

...but where can you change this pref afterwards?

Maybe I'm just blind, but does Apple offer anywhere a bootable "complete fresh install" for each DP? Or just the original DP, then the updates through the App store?

Safari URL

You can now toggle the smart search field in Safari to show the entire web site path not just the base domain.

This makes me happy!

So no iOS8 beta today? This is rough....

see it from the bright side, the next one might be the GM ;)

My gosh those folder icons look hideous. I'm not a fan of some of the new icons in general but the folder icons take the crown, they are just plain horrible.

The general interface of sidebars and small icons are monochrome, why make the folder icons such hideous neon color that just looks out of place and distracting?

It's hard to describe but it seems they just lack definition/contrast and the color is just looks out of place.

you get used to them, i hated them too at first but now i dont even really remember what they looked like before

Obviously I meant Yosemite. But well done on the needless and inappropriate condescension.
Nothing condescending about it. If you mean Yosemite, you write Yosemite. Plain and simple. Now if you want to talk about needless and inappropriate, I'd have to say your "I don't like Mavericks" post takes the cake. If you aren't willing to say what you don't like, you are just wasting space.

I don't see the new drive icons. My external USB disk drive still has the USB icon and is rounded. What gives? :|
I'm not seeing new hard drive / portable drive icons on my end. Is there a way to reset the icon cache?
Did you ever replace them using Get Info? If so: choose get info on a drive, select the icon and press backspace to remove the custom icon.

Have you looked under the App Store settings in System Preferences?

(not at my DP mac at the moment to verify..)
Nothing jumped out at me...

I didn't like them at first either but after a while you just kind of get used to it. It's more like I forget what they used to look like until I look at my desktop running Mavericks. I think it fits within the entire operating system though.

Fair enough and I agree most of us will probably adapt relatively quickly to them, it's just sort of ironic/sad that regardless of how bad a design can be, humans adapt fast to things.

I don't have them either, my HDD Icons are still the old ones, no custom Icons, I even tried to delete them in get info, no go.

I have mine set to overlay instead of as space and it doesn't blur the desktop.

Yeah so it's still like it used to be and the guy who initially posted just ranted without any knowledge.
It looks so much nicer with the blurred background when dashboard is it's own space.
