Has anyone that had already downloaded iOS 11 GM been able to get the watchOS 4 update? I am on iOS 11 GM and it still says 3.2.3 for me. I know that is the case for tons of people but I just want to know if anyone who is on the 11 GM has been able to download watchOS 4.

What is the deal with deleting the beta profile? Is that necessary? What does it do?

Thanks!
Same for me. GM and still no Apple Watch update 3.2.3

Me too, but it appears that the OS4 is not ready for prime time, I think that I will check back in two weeks. It looks like that the Beta testers do not have a seamless transition to the new production releases. Deleting the Beta Profile does not seem to help. I am old so I forget how I got past this issue on OS 3.

I downloaded the 11.0 GM last week from public beta and Watch OS 4.0 is installing now. I didn't delete beta profile. I checked for updates and restarted my iPhone, though.

I couldn’t get the watch update until I deleted Beta profile for both iOS and Watch. Restarted phone and watch, now watch update is available.

Oh cool, ok good to know it's not an iOS 11 GM issue. I'll keep trying!

They got rid of the ability to control your music library. This is an absolute joke. It's one of my main uses for the damn Watch!!!!

iOS 11 GM on iPhone 7. Beta profiles on iPhone and :apple:watch. Deleted both. Reinstalled both. Updated iPhone through iTunes...

watchOS 4 still hasn't shown up.

Edit: I deleted both beta profiles (again) on iPhone and watch that I had reinstalled, restarted both, and it showed up. These may all just be incantations that had no effect due to a phased rollout. Or something.

So dumb question, I don't have an iPhone until I can get my hands on an X. Do I have to wait until I get the X in to be able to update the watch? any way to do it through my iPad or anything?

My lord, why does it take hours to update your watch.....

Because just a minute amount of time was spent on making animoji for poop face ;) I have no idea but it's something Apple can GREATLY improve upon. Seems like everything is done on Bluetooth alone. Makes you wonder why Apple puts WiFi in the Series 2 or Series 3 at all since it's not used for

WatchOS installation
Sync'ing Music.

So for those of you thinking if upgrading to AppleWatch Series 3 or 2017 iPhone consider the following.

Both AW S2/S3 have Bluetooth 4.2.
Bluetooth 5.0

@Apple; WHY the difference between these devices to STILL maintain a slow WatchOS update as well as slow music and data synchronization!? #&$&$($()$

Well at least I can NOW have multiple music playlists on my Watch Nike + S2.

Maybe the W2 chip in the S3 addresses this? Here’s to hoping so. Looking to upgrade soon.

I just want Now Playing in the control center. And if they absolutely refuse to do that, as they appear to, make it a complication. It was by far my most used feature of Watch OS 1 and 2. Since 3 it's been so much work to open it, it may as well not exist.
I have it at the top of my dock. Have dock set to display favorites.
Press side button, it’s right there every time.

If you are looking for “Now Playing”, you can add it to the dock. Gives ability to play, pause, ff, rew.
[doublepost=1505869864][/doublepost]Anyone else not getting notifications for closing their rings?:eek:o_O
Love closin' those rings!

Many of the interface items look like they are designed for something other than a watch with big visual elements you now need to scroll through. Scrolling through a list of hundred songs is ok. 100 tiny pictures = user hostile. This is repeated all over the watch. Very odd and seems like ok looking but worse usability.

I’m FRAK’N pissed!!!
iOS 11 update & install = 1hr
WatchOS 4 update & install = 2hrs!
Music Playlist sync (23 tracks avg 5-6mins in length, all at 256KB AAC codec 44.1khz Stereo = 2hrs!
The bar stated about half way complete for music sync. I couldn’t wait any longer and needed to get to the gym to work out.

Get to the gym. NO DAMN MUSIC!
WT goddamn F! All that time wasted not a single track!

The entire time BOTh the IPhone 7 and Nike + we’re fully charged and on their own chargers!!

I’m beyond livid about this. One of the major reasons I’ve bought this Watch was a) heart rate, music sync, workout (sets/reps/weights & tracking back to phone and history), and b) ability to leave my smartphone in the locker to keep it from getting crushed by weights or feet.

His water So much of my time! His is ridiculous! Why can’t he watch sync tracks 1 at a time in case of interruption?!?? It’s either all or nothing!
