Apple Releases watchOS 5.2 With ECG Functionality in Europe and Hong Kong, AirPods 2 Support

To be honest i didnt expect it to arrive so soon. I really thought we would have to wait another year or so. Glad i didnt buy the us apple watch, seems like i will be buying the 4.

Can anyone let me know what the min iOS requirement is. Keeping my phone on 12.1.2 for jailbreak. Xs

It works on the Modular watch face. I don't see the option on Infograph Modular. I have checked every release.

Why is it seen as a medical device? No one is prescribing it.

We are all happy for the watch to log sleep, steps, falls and heart rate. Why is this any different? It is just information that COULD save lives. Any of the other monitors also do the same thing. Don’t rely on it to be accurate but at least offer people the choice on how to use the data the sensors gather.

I bought this watch for my partner who had heart issues a few years ago. Knowing a device is logging data is a very positive step. Please let wearers decide if it is useful to them.

Austria, Belgium, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Guam, Hong Kong, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Luxembourg, Netherlands, Norway, Portugal, Puerto Rico, Romania, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, the UK, US and US Virgin Islands.
 
So I’ve updated my Series 4 Watch to 5.2 and I can’t see an ECG app. Am I doing something wrong or should it just appear?

I got my watch second hand in England and I’m starting think it might not be a UK model :(

Is there a way to find out what country my watch is from? It says in settings it’s a model “A2008” which when I’ve googled it says Europe and Asia.

As already mentioned 12.2 is required. I was in the same boat. Held onto 12.1.2 for the longest time, waiting for a jailbreak, but ultimately decided that security and stability are more important than a few tweaks.

I wish this would help battery life. My series 3 finished a day with about 65% or more. My series 4 is drained to about 50% after about 12 hours.

I know Apple only says “all day” but it’s still worse than my S3.

My Series 4 lasts 2 days, I know it depends on usage but if you’re fussed maybe reset your S4 and see if it makes a difference

ECG and Irregular Heart Rhythm are all missing in Canada still. Ahhhh, Health Canada is always useless.
