I have a Series 3 and did have a battery drain issue the first few days after upgrading to OS7, but after completely depleting and recharging the battery that issue was fixed. Fortunately no restart issues, but perhaps they are introduced when updating to 7.0.2!

Eitherway: Yaaaaay updates! :D

I had just received my new S6 last week and the battery seems ok. However. on Saturday my old S4 seemed to drain down to nothing in just a few hours without me even wearing it.

I'm tired of watchOS updates on my Series 3. I can't get enough space cleared to even install them, because of files behind the scenes I can't touch, so I have to reset it, install the update, and then restore. This also requires me to set up my Wallet cards again.
Unsync the music library or the photos, update it and resync during the next charging night.
What other "behind the scences" files do you have?

I've had to do that on my Series 3 with the OS upgrades, but not with the patches.
I'm still stuck on not upgrading to 7.0.1 because of this issue and not wanting to reset my S3 watch. I removed all apps I could, set it to no pictures or music syncing, etc., and still not enough room because of system files.

I don’t know what they are but even with 0 apps installed and no music or podcasts or photos synced I had this issue.

I restarted the watch and immediately launched update. That solved the issue without needing a reset.

Haven't had a battery drain issue so far on my Series 6. The only issue I have is a periodic issue where the screen is zoomed all the way in where only 1 number is shown. Someone suggested tapping the screen twice, but that didn't work. If I press the crown it goes back to normal, but as soon as I let go of the crown it zooms back out. The only fix so far is to restart the watch. The restart seems to take a longer than usual time, but that could just be me being impatient because this zoom out happens whenever it feels. Doesn't happen that much maybe once or twice a week. Hopefully it will be fixed with this update.

With the S5 I had battery drain issues. With the S6, it has been awesome. 17 hours on the S5 would be about 30-35%, 24 hours on the S6 is around 40%.

Yeah, tracking is broken in some areas of the Health app.
With the always on option turned on or off?

I've heard several people on a Series 3 complain about this as well. Hope they fix it for you guys.
I’m affected as well. Every now and again I’ll see the Apple logo. So far it hasn’t been too disruptive but it would be nice if this takes care of it completely.

Well the update went smoothly. Won't know if my battery is improved for a few days but I'd definitely say I'm using 10-15% more battery than usual prior to 7.0.2 compared with watchos6.

I bet this is more of an issue on watches that are restored vs. started new.

"Could" is the right description, have had zero issues with Battery drain, glad they fixed it though, even though I never saw it.
I haven’t had any problems but, there is probably more bug fixes in the release than addressing the single battery issue. Like you, I am glad Apple is quick as they can be with addressing problems with the OS. It is one of the reasons I stay.

After my really bad experience with iOS 14 I think I am going to wait a few weeks before doing this update. If anyone knows if watchOS 7.0.2 fixes the many issues on the iPhone Activity app, please let me know. Thank you
