Apple TV+ has been out for less than a week, but Apple has already renewed several of the first TV shows that launched on the service.

As noted by Variety, "See," "For All Mankind," "Dickinson," and "The Morning Show" will all get a second season. Of those, "The Morning Show" already had a two-season order and second season episodes are being filmed, but the other renewals are new.

Several of Apple's TV shows like "The Morning Show" and "See" received less than stellar reviews from critics, but they seem to be faring better with viewers. On Rotten Tomatoes, for example, "See" has a critic score of 41 percent (rotten), but an audience score of 83 percent. "The Morning Show" has a critic score of 62 percent and an audience score of 95 percent, and similar scores can be seen for most of Apple's TV shows.

Apple has not provided details on how many people have signed up for an Apple TV+ subscription nor how many views its shows have received so far, but Variety says that sources "close to Apple" claim the service has drawn "millions of users" spending more than an hour on the Apple TV+ platform.

Apple insiders are said to be impressed by the "volume of activity" on the platform and that most viewers who watched one episode of one of the four main series watched at least one or two more. Apple is said to believe that those metrics suggest viewers are responding well to the shows, leading to the renewals.

Apple on Friday will release new episodes of "See," "For All Mankind," and "The Morning Show" as these shows launched with just three episodes available. All of "Dickinson" has been made available to watch on the platform.

Apple is providing customers with a free 7-day trial for Apple TV+, which is priced at $4.99 per month or $49.99 per year. Apple is also offering all customers who purchased an Apple TV, iPhone, iPad, Mac, or iPod touch after September 10 one free year of access to Apple TV+.

I may be alone in this but I genuinely enjoyed the first 3 episodes of See. I thought it was beautifully shot and the plot is very unique. Action sequences are well done and I can see the two kids ability to see being like a super power in a cool and unique way in future episodes. Excited for more. Also Snoopy In Space is phenomenal.

Good value at that price compared to HBO, Showtime, etc. If they just have one hit show like a Game of Thrones, they will make a fortune. I can't stand watching network television any more with their commercials and horrible production value.

I really liked Dickinson and am delighted to hear that it is picked up for season 2, although I could swear I read some time ago that season 2 already was in production so an announcement of a season 2 pickup sounds a little like PR theater.

"See".. given the premise, the silly PR jippo about how they consulted blind people and then the looks of the trailers I get the vibe that it is stupid. Don't know if I'm right but I have no desire to find out.

You probably are. I could not pass the 30 min mark.

TMS is a good surprise, it is OK but I liked it. For All Mankind I am still making up my mind, I'll give it some time.

I agree. I think the show is incredibly creative. Many of the "this doesn't make sense" comments and reviews are arising from a failure of critics to really embrace that this show takes place in a severely altered future. It seems much of the criticism is a result of viewing everything through a contemporary lens. The only thing I agree with is that if this was a blind culture they wouldn't be dressed and coordinating colors the way that they do (but who wants to watch a show if everyone in it was ugly and dressed unattractively - I guess the producers had to find a balance there). It's also questionable whether a blind human species could ever survive on the earth, but putting that aside... I'm glad the show is renewed.

Said it BEFORE, I'll say it again.

ATV+ will be a $5B USD annual loss until they decide to kill it, perhaps 3-4 years from now.

The first two episodes of "See" get a D- grade !

About equal to the last (horrible) season of Game of Thrones.

GoT was a solid A up-until their last season, with some episodes A++ !

So far I’ve only watched the first two episodes of Dickenson and found them to be quite good. See stretches my willing suspension of disbelief a little too far.

Every time I see a movie has high critic rating, it usually means I won't like it. When I see high viewer ratings usually means I'll like it. There are several movies I enjoy with high critic ratings (just about everything from Pixar.)

Finally watched The Morning Show.

The first 8 words of dialogue were: "Fred, what happened. So that's it? Mother f***."

I thought people said Apple TV was going to be cutesy family shows with no violence, swearing or sexual content?

I give the first episode a 6/10. Not great, but not bad. Will watch a few more to see if it gets better/more interesting. My wife liked it a lot more than I did.

Does every single Apple TV+ show update need a front page headline on Mac Rumors? Maybe I'm wrong, but people aren't coming to this site for Apple TV+ news, are they?
This is the NEW Apple, so it makes sense. I don't like it, but it makes sense.

None of the shows interest me and most sound like they are HBO-level explicit. No thanks.

Loved For All Mankind; See was very different and weird which isn't necessarily a bad thing.

I wish we could have had a full season ready to go at launch of these two shows, the drip-feed of content is an interesting choice.

It would be rather silly if they didn't renew all of them.

I only watched the first 3 episodes of The Morning Show, and I liked them. I will wait until the rest are released in their entirety, so I can watch without having to wait another week for 3 more shows.

It's so annoying when they announce or gets leaked that their going to be a sequel when the show hasn't even been out that long. It does spoil it.

I remember this happened recently when the 2018 'Halloween-movie' (horror movie fan here) was still a few months from release, and the movie studio formally announced they have already start two sequels.

like why?????
