If a larger screen iPhone is keeping you away from iOS then you never really wanted iOS anyways. Apple is just experimenting with larger screen sizes, unlikely they'll finalize it. Current iPhone is already perfect as a phone.

Freak device

Someone at work has that freak Samsung device of 5 or 6 inches (the note?). It is pretty funny looking for a phone. There is a vocal group that wants larger phones and I can see the benefit for those with waning vision - but count me in the group that thinks current size is perfect and chasing size is a waste of time. Apple - trust yourself.

Maybe this means no bezel on the sides?

That was the first thing that came to my mind too. It would be hard to believe they could bend the screen 90 degrees, and that they could machine a piece of glass to be three dimensional. A pressure sensitive touch screen would enable apple to get rid of the home button... just press hard at the bottom for home.

Really wouldn't be surprised if the iPhone 6 was a hideous looking copy of the ipad mini body....

Exactly- curved screens are stupid

----------

Curved screen seems completely logical for an iWatch. Not for an iPhone.

I'm all for a larger screen but this curved glass crap needs to stop. What possible point would there be for curved glass? It would seem case designs would be a PITA with that as well.

I can't imagine Apple would release something with curved glass anyways.

personally I do not see the need for screens larger than the 5/5s. I use my iPhone mostly as a phone or to quickly read something. When I need to do something for a longer period of time, I use an iPad or a computer.

Why? because to me even 6" screens are too small to look at for extended periods of time.

Curvy is perhaps back in curved iPhone or iPhone 6. It's like entirely refreshed design, like iPhone 3G to 4. Many was screaming that the curvy look was eliminated. Now it is coming back.

I think we will see something like this, but Apple will probably decrease the size of the "forehead" upper bezel while leaving just enough space for the home button on the bottom bezel.

Does anyone actually believe this? Larger screen phone, sure, but curved display, no way.

A curved display would mean it would take more space in your pocket. It would also mean that the battery, circuit board, etc would have to be curved.

I see no real reason for Apple do make a curved display iPhone.

And why would Apple make a Boom-Box phone like the Samsung?
I don't get those people walking and talking on those huge telephones they can barely hold in their hands.
I wonder if these huge phones are Samsung's way of stopping their users from talking-while-driving.

A friend of mine got a Samsung Galaxy (not sure which model, but was a big phone, not as big as the note). He told me that he wanted a larger screen because his iPhone 4s had a small screen.
Apparently he didn't see an iPhone 5s display until he saw mine and realized he should have gotten an iPhone 5s instead. Oh well...

IMO, the iPhone 5s screen is the perfect size. The whole phone has the right size, fits in any pocket, it's light and not bulky. If I need a bigger display for a task, I just pull out my iPad. That's all!

----------

The Note III is not a phone....it's a tablet with the ability to make phone calls. It's way, way too big to be used as a phone.

So then you're telling me it's a Phony-Phone? :D

----------

Less of your ear touching the screen when you talk?

So I guess it will be curve to fit in your back pocket, and will come in different sizes to fit every butt...

I guess if they make a larger phone they will then be able to cater to the folks who want a larger iPhone. Personally I don't need a larger phone, and I don't really want to buy larger pants and shirts to fit my phone!
I think it's mostly for people who can't afford an iPad and want to appear hip.:D

nice wallpaper on the iphone.

But wouldn't it be nice if you could customize the home screen instead of having the wallpaper hidden by icons?

----------

I'll bet dollars to donuts that when the larger screen iPhone comes to market it will be Apple's best selling model.

----------

Why the hell does everyone in the cell phone industry think that bigger is better? If it can't fit in my pocket or the cup holder of my car, no thanks.

Because millions of people buy them. What's so bad about having choices?
