What's up with all the negative-nabobs here?

This "report" is consistent with other leaks so chill out you nabobs!

I hope it really happens. This way when everyone bails on att and goes to verizon, it will free up some bandwith and kill verizon.

At this point, I hope you guys finally get the iPhone on Verizon. I couldn't care less about the carrier or AT&T; I just want , for the sake of the rest of the world, to stop hearing about it.

At this point I could care less. Either release an iPhone on Verizon or don't just please please stop talking about it.

I'd like an iPhone on Verizon, but as I can't be sure it's gonna come out, and I want the retina screen, I'll be buying a Touch 4G and waiting for a Verizon iPhone 5.

Does anybody actually use that?

Advertisers. That's about it. The only time I ever even sort of cared about that was when I was the only person in my circle of friends with a smart phone since people would always call me for directions.

Those days are gone.

Bragging that the iPhone is coming to another network is like bragging that you knew a newly released movie was eventually going to arrive on DVD.

Everyone knows it. Everyone expects it. It's a logical next move for Apple.

Releasing a movie has nothing to do with iPhone. People are still denying it.

By the way, I know this is the biased forum of apple going to streaming but I'd rather have it arrive on Blu-Ray.

AT&T in no way wants the agreement to end. Apple has been laying golden eggs for them since '07.

That said, the market is different now and AT&T can pick up a lot of Android devices that are marketable now that weren't even remotely thought possible in 2006.

It's not in Apples best interest to stay with AT&T. Nearly every review you read praises the hardware with the disclaimer of spotty AT&T service. The relationship is hurting Apples ability to sell more headsets, more app's, more media in the U.S.

:) Exactly. +1

Now if the iPad could just go away....that's the most useless product I've seen by apple...

Ahh, that explains the queues at the Apple Store. People lining up to get refunds after realising their iPads are useless.

No, hang on... iPads are still in greater demand than Apple can supply...

Apparently, more useful than you would like to believe:

56% of Companies Will Buy iPads

You do know that verizon have more data go over it's wireless network than AT&T right? Verizon has a pretty large amount of data cards out there and those use a lot more data than the iPhone.

Apple will not manufacture a CDMA iPhone...ever.

You talk a big game. You must be that guy who met someone at a baseball game who knows someone who once attended WWDC and therefore saw Steve Jobs speak, which makes you privileged to the internal decisions of Apple, right?

Well, I hate to break it to you but I personally know two people who have attended WWDC. My immense internal knowledge of Apple due to my connections leads me to believe that they ARE going to manufacture a CDMA iPhone.

To those who say CDMA will be dead in a year or so, I believe most carriers still have analog phone systems such as TDMA active. I remember only a few years ago I had a cell phone that would cut out with walkie-talkie type static.

I think not waiting for a June/July launch will piss off a lot of people who switched. It might also piss off Verizon customers when 5-6 months from their 'January release' a new iPhone is released and they have pay again.

That's what I'm most curious about. If it were to happen in January, would it be the exact same as the current iPhone 4, and would they then do the regular refresh in June again?

It would be great if the iphone came to other carriers. I think competition is good.

But I don't see any announcement from Verizon or Apple so I don't believe this rumor. I believed it on two occasions and got burnt after telling friends the iphone was coming to Verizon on such and such a date.

All speculation of Verizon iphone should be dismissed until its announced. Otherwise you risk looking silly.

All that aside, the safe bet is that the Verizon iphone is not coming anytime soon. This argument has been had before and each time those who claimed the iphone was coming watched the predicted date come and go.

Well.... they don't *have* to.

Well Said!
CDMA or NOT Money Talks and there is a whole lot of money to be made on VZW. VZW had over 90 million customers , about 10 million more than att!
90 million+ customers = a whole lot of iphone 4.5/5 sales

I am not sure why soon many of you guys this apple is somehow married to att for life!? You guys are foolish;)
