I hope it really happens. This way when everyone bails on att and goes to verizon, it will free up some bandwith and kill verizon.
At this point, I hope you guys finally get the iPhone on Verizon. I couldn't care less about the carrier or AT&T; I just want , for the sake of the rest of the world, to stop hearing about it.
Does anybody actually use that?
Bragging that the iPhone is coming to another network is like bragging that you knew a newly released movie was eventually going to arrive on DVD.
Everyone knows it. Everyone expects it. It's a logical next move for Apple.
Let me guess, they met at a bar...Sources with knowledge of this entire situation have assured me...
Releasing a movie has nothing to do with iPhone. People are still denying it.
By the way, I know this is the biased forum of apple going to streaming but I'd rather have it arrive on Blu-Ray.
Now if the iPad could just go away....that's the most useless product I've seen by apple...
AT&T in no way wants the agreement to end. Apple has been laying golden eggs for them since '07.
That said, the market is different now and AT&T can pick up a lot of Android devices that are marketable now that weren't even remotely thought possible in 2006.
It's not in Apples best interest to stay with AT&T. Nearly every review you read praises the hardware with the disclaimer of spotty AT&T service. The relationship is hurting Apples ability to sell more headsets, more app's, more media in the U.S.

Apple will not manufacture a CDMA iPhone...ever.
You talk a big game. You must be that guy who met someone at a baseball game who knows someone who once attended WWDC and therefore saw Steve Jobs speak, which makes you privileged to the internal decisions of Apple, right?
Well, I hate to break it to you but I personally know two people who have attended WWDC. My immense internal knowledge of Apple due to my connections leads me to believe that they ARE going to manufacture a CDMA iPhone.
To those who say CDMA will be dead in a year or so, I believe most carriers still have analog phone systems such as TDMA active. I remember only a few years ago I had a cell phone that would cut out with walkie-talkie type static.
I think not waiting for a June/July launch will piss off a lot of people who switched. It might also piss off Verizon customers when 5-6 months from their 'January release' a new iPhone is released and they have pay again.

All that aside, the safe bet is that the Verizon iphone is not coming anytime soon. This argument has been had before and each time those who claimed the iphone was coming watched the predicted date come and go.
