I’m still stunned that there are people who think slapping a desktop OS on a tablet is a good idea, years after the failure of that concept and the triumph of the iPad. Of course it’s respectable and some (few people) would like it, but it wouldn’t be an attractive product in the market.

I think many would love it, as an option. Just hit a button in iPadOS and you instantly reboot into macOS and get your full suite of tools, when you need it. Full Photoshop, Premiere etc. - then right back to iPadOS for casual use. That would be an insanely great product.

Interesting. I'd like the increased screen real estate. But how heavy is that going to be if you slap a Magic Keyboard on it?

At that size I wouldn’t need a Magic Keyboard as the software keyboard would be finally as big as the real thing.

Or you could do like me and get the M2 11" (also have a the 12.9" M1 iPad & won't sell it bc Apple wants so little for it) just so i can try out Apple Pencil Hover (as i am an artist), then sell the M1 or M2 when the iPad Ultra comes out.

Might as well go right to a 20-30" and build a specific stand/docking setup for it and make this their "Surface Studio" competitor
