Really don't understand why most companies are putting any sort of processing power into the watch. Outside of bluetooth, small processing power, display controller, display, battery, ect. there is little reason to have this device had stand alone processing power.

If it really is an accessory then 90% of the functions should be driven by your phone/tablet/computer.

It is what it is. Personally, I'm ok with any price they think their product is worth. If it's in my wheel house then that's great! I love the craftsmanship of Bvlgari watches but it's out of my budget. Doesn't mean it's a POS watch because I can't afford it and It does the exact same thing as any other watch.....tell time.
It's appreciating the nuances and engineering. I don't see the iWatch any different. Though, I do think Apple is taking the smart approach if they are making a range of watches.

I think $400 is very reasonable for the things ithe is rumored to do. You can't get a good watch for under $400 now a days.

It'll depend on the features.

If it has a glucometer I'm almost certainly in; otherwise, I'm almost definitely out.

My current watch, lovely, sapphire crystal, tells time and date, cost me $350 when I bought it 35 years ago. I'll pay $400 for an iWatch, but you can be darn sure I won't be replacing it every year like I do my phone. So this first iteration better be good.

You guys forget that the Wall Street Journal reported that the iPad would retail for around 1000$ a couple months before it's release.

$199 it will sell like hot cakes, thats why Apple will sell it for $400-500. Profit margins and marketing, they don't sell trinkets.

I can buy a Tissot for that amount... I would of payed $200 for the gimmick, $400 though thank Cook can kiss my ass

But I don't think this is true... It would be wise if apple undercut Samsung in the market

People have no idea what the device does (if it exists), but are giving price ranges at which it'd sell like 'hotcakes', and what's too expensive. Lol.

Well, obviously, $400 is way too much for hotcakes, even with blueberries and sausage.

I ain't buyin that neither.

If it does all the right things, the price is not that important.

I am seriously happy that nobody has a clue about what this thing looks like yet.

Nobody mentioned "clunky". If this thing is huge on the wrist, forget about it. Will it interfere with clothing? Is it annoying to wear?

I'm mildly interested as I was thinking of getting a BT enabled iPod for the car. At $199 for the iPod Touch, another $100 for extra function doesn't sound too bad.

Although if it looks too geeky, it will turn me off. Back to the clunky thing.

The Apple pricing model always follows the same pattern. Think about the absolute max you would pay for this thing and add 20%. So if $350 sounds like a stretch then it will be $429.

If it does not have a glucometer, I'll have to say no. If it does, it will be a stretch.

If my insurance coverage decides to cover it with a copay, then I'm in.

A good price point would be the price of the square iPod nano. People bought those like hot cakes to wear as watches.
