I don't know if anyone posted this before but how will those who purchased their mac in the "safe" period get their free copy of lion as promised?
$76.2 billion. $76.2 billion. $76.2 billion. Wow.![]()
iPhone Q1 to Q2 increase (19 million to 20 million) is way below the smartphone market increase and less than expected (25+ million).

Pretty insane if you ask me...Looks like Apple is on track to bring in at least $100 billion in revenue this fiscal year. And they have 41.7% gross margins! Ridiculous. Their stock should be at $500 in a month.

Yay, a new signature I can use! This is precious, from Tim:
"we believe it is much easier for iPad 2 to cannibalize Windows sales than Mac sales..."![]()

As predicted by me they announced Lion and MacBook Air during the first couple of minutes of the conference call.
They've always said that it wasn't a revenue-generator. It's a little over even.Wow the iTunes store only accounts for only 5% of Apple's revenue?![]()
Product Transition: either iPhone 5 or the iPad Pro
I'm not sure who exactly you think expected that many, but the analysts were saying in the range of 16-17 million which they blew past.
I applaud Apple and the free market for raking in these numbers. The beautiful thing about the United States is the freedoms we allow for businesses to have an unlimited potential of earnings brings us the innovative products Apple and companies like them Apple sells. Without the freedom of unlimited earning potentials we'd have no Google, Apple, Facebook, Microsoft and chances are this forum wouldn't even exist.
Now I'd like to point out the irony of the Che tshirt wearing hippies using Macbooks to write on their blogs (powered by Google probably) about how companies are evil thanks to massive profits and CEOs are overpaid.
Personally, I like the $100 iTunes/App Store credit deal better than the iPod one, even though it's of lesser value. I'd make better use of it than an iPod, that's all.I would like someone to ask why they switched the back-to-school promotion to App Store credit versus free iPod.
Also, and more importantly, Apple's Professional strategy given the response to FCP-X.
