Is it I or the rounded corners are not "round enough"? My OCD is triggered. They should have at least matched the shape with the iPhone Xs.

But looking at 11" vs 12.9" it seems to be a "problem" of the smaller one. I don't like it too.

Edit: Ok, both have this problem, sorry.

Size question. I currently have 24gb free on my 64gb mini. What size would you recommend? With more things that are cloud based I'm debating between the 64 and the 256. It's a good sized price jump between the two, but you get more than double the space. I was planning on a 128, but it does not exist.

I dunno how I feel. I’m torn. It’s definitely an upgrade over the current 12.9, but I’m so annoyed I’ll have to buy a new screen protector, a new case, a new pencil, new cables, new adapters, new AppleCare plan and wait for Logitech to come out with a Slim Combo.

The $749 and $949 is the education prices.

Which is still $150 more. I was very ready to get the Pro. I could've lived with a slight bump in price. But this is kinda outrageous. Especially since nowadays, 64 GB internal space don't get you very far... The 10.5" Pro hasn't even been decreased in price...which is unusual.

Give it up already. You're not going to be able to buy from anyone in a couple years because that jack is going the way of the dodo. Good thing current products with jacks last a few years, eh?
There's always Samsung as an alternative. I was planning to buy the Tab S4 and now I am more than willing to. Seriously considering selling my current iPAD after all the c.rap I have seen Apple do.

Also, I just checked and my 10.5 (256 GB wifi+cell) bought from B&HPhotoVideo cost US$ 829. I paid exactly that ammount, and this was August 22, 2017. The release date was June 13, 2017.

Now they are charging US$ 1099 for the same 256 GB wifi+cellular.

That means each year (or couple of years) they will continue with this extorsion, making negligible changes for the iSheep, and not implementing what we really need. F. all these cosmetic changes and adapters.

Not again.

I literally cannot deal with zip files on iOS without some ridiculous process. I still can’t run multiple apps or instances easily. iOS just can’t do thing that Mac os can. But then again I cant touch or draw on the Mac screen. I badly wanted to get this Pro but the limitations and price point continue to push me to a MacBook Pro. Even the new air: only $100 less than a 13 Pro that has better hardware.

Yes, the "bloat" he was referring to is actually called "functionality".

Back to iPad 1.0 . Holding that thing with those hard edges is gonna be really fatiguing. They must have had to look hard for thin fingered models so as to not to activate any unintentional commands by touching the screen. And can I say again the protruding camera lens looks like total ass?

I'm unfamiliar with USB-C.
Tell me what this does for me if I get this 12.9 Pro model please.

If you are on a 2010 iPad, iPad 2 or the (new) iPad gen 3, it might be a worthy upgrade. It will never be a laptop or desktop replacement for many. I just think until iOS adopts macOS app windowing and multi-tasking, file system navigation, it will still be hampered. The specced out pricing is too high.

I know you are business Apple, but you have a trillion dollars now. You should start selling these things for $500 and less. End the Steve Jobs miser meanie legacy, it surely didn’t work for him.

with all ipad pro's you can easily put one finger on the screen, and use another to do your scrolling and tapping :)

I gotta tap out and keep my now old iPad 12.9 inch Pro, them prices had me looking like a deer in head lights. It’s almost $1,900 for the top of the line model I got last year that was about $1,300.

I love all the new products, but, just to make sure I understand, I now need:

- 1 pair of 3.5-jack headphones for my Mac
- 1 pair of Lightning headphones for my iPhone
And
- 1 pair of USB-C headphones for my iPad Pro?

Geee. Thanks for great product integration Apple...

I have zero interest in a physical keyboard on an iPad, Pro or otherwise. I am extraordinarily happy that Apple released a new folio-style case that has been missing from their lineup since the iPad Air 2. It’s very helpful to cover the back of an iPad because it lacks “feet” like a Mac. From regular use on a hard desk, my iPad Pro camera ring has been filed down on one side, and the back panel is worn at pressure points. It looks considerably worse that the now hand-me-down Air 2 that’s still in use by family.

And the delivery date has already slipped for the 1TB 11 inch iPad Pro... now delivering on the 16th.

STOP for a moment and realize something before you go out and dump your wallet out:

* iPad's never were weak in the hardware department - they are terrible in the software. Games/Apps aren't limited in terms of what it can do but how you can do it with an iPad which just sucks compared to a real productivity device

* The pricing of these things are more than a real competent laptop. These things are just toys compared to real laptops that can do real work.

I don't care if these things have Face ID. The fingerprint was good enough. Just the pricing on these things are atrocious - all that for scribbling some art and watching youtube. Price is outrageous.

I have 2 iPad Pro 12.9, more than 4 iPads from all the years and let me tell you the 12.9" doesn't even get used. Collecting dust because once I tried hard to fit a good productivity workflow using solely the iPad, it was like jamming a square peg in a round hole. I just went back to a real PC desktop for power use and a laptop for some light work + smartphone for on the go...

Until apple decides to stop using the same junk iOS they do on the phones but enlarge it on the iPads, I will never ever again buy another iPad. Waste of money! The best thing about these new iPads is the form factor it's much more sensible especially with the pen attachment. With one single USB-C, you're gonna need more dongles and it's not the same as a real laptop with USB-C - this one is just gimped when it comes to what you can do with it.

Trillion dollar company needs ways to keep growing - this is pure business and apple is no fan of your wallet. Wipe off that grin on Phil Schiller's face and you will see they are not a company that cares about their customers....or their wallet.

Face ID is now on the iPad Pro, so you can log into the iPad, unlock apps, pay with Apple Pay, and more, all compatible in any orientation that the iPad is held.

Is this a software trick then? If so, can they retroactively enable it on iPhones as well?
Think they said they re programmed the 'neural networks' to enable it - so in other words.. who knows.

Or one pair or AirPods or Beats or any other BT headset for all of them?

What's the obsession with cabled headphones?

I have a very nice set of in ear custom monitors, but I have picked up a Bluetooth DAC and that is no longer an issue. I no longer care about the cable. But I understand it for people that have very high end earphones...

I have a set of Powerbeats for everyday...

LOL, just NO. 1TB but seriously, just NO.

edit: before you gripe about how I took the most expensive model - you can get a cheaper surface pro 5 or even the 6 and it would destroy this iPad "pro" in productivity. The biggest deal breaker on the surface pro is the battery/entire device is throw away/non-replaceable and they even got the balls to make the SSD blade in the surface pro 6 model non-removable unlike the 5 version. But then again, all these iPads are throw away as well...

The sound quality of BT headphones is inferior to good wired headphones. Whether the convenience of wireless matters more than sound quality is a different topic. I'm not sure why it's even an issue as they are offering an adapter so wired headphones can still be used.
