poor apple support workers, brace for genitals

It would be a pretty dumb idea. Apple knows who iPhone 4 users are, their home address, their current geo-location, and who knows what else. A person would be more anonymous while committing lewd acts in person in an Apple store.

I just called them to test it out.... I havent used it till now...

WOW it is incredibly clear!! i was expecting jumping hard to hear...

but no, It was awesome!!! sweeeet.

the apple guy wasn't to weird either...

give it a try!

I called it and talked to a dude with lots of facial hair. He was very educational with a great attitude. Of course there are questions they're not allowed to answer to talk about...

I HAD THE SAME GUY! Matt right? Real nice dude.

that's been my experience, at least.

how do you call? I called 1-888-Facetime, thats 11 digits.. when i call that, its says your call cannot be completed as dialed. can anyone who has used this service please confirm the number? 1-888-322-38463??

As an Apple stock holder, I find this useless and unnecessary. How many of these callers actually have a problem?

Ha! This is no going to make the value of your stock decrease, c'mon.

The iPhone 4 signal problem on the other hand...

yeah I did it...

just dont dial the last number.. you only need the first 7 .. the last one shouldnt do anything

Just tried it out and it worked without a hitch! Smooth video, no choppiness or pausing and a clear voice quality through the speaker.

The Apple rep on the other end seemed to be having a good time, but also seemed to not be using an iPhone 4 himself. What I mean to say is, he was sitting back in his chair and his video feed was stationary. So, unless he had an iPhone 4 mounted to his desk, which is possible, he might have been using an iChat type program on a computer in front of him.

Future inklings of iPhone Facetime to a laptop or desktop user?!

If they actually held the phone, the calls wouldn't go through.

I doubt that. He told me he had to switch over to his iPhone... But it was probably on a dock

But, It IS possible for someone to make an iChat-like program for FaceTime, it is open source, anyway.

Customer support is going to be screwed if this is the future if other companies start offering face to face support.

As who here is going to be filled with confidence talking to an operator while a man in the background (snake charmer) is trying to tempt a snake back into a basket?

you could just call and ask him

It's not your call, pal. All these stupid pervs and miscreants will have their little cheap thrills and then crawl back under their rocks. But normal and serious use of Face Time will quickly catch on as a new cultural phenomenon, one which Apple originated (and therefore profit immensely from), and one which you as a stockholder should support and not criticize out of the gate.

Seems like you misread what he was saying - he's talking about doing support over FaceTime, not FaceTime itself being a bad idea.

I could have misread everyone, its 2am where I live. Im delusional!
