skype suck ..... i never using skype since facetime default tool to make call in iphone ,,,

skype keep buffering freezing video alltimes ,,

now everyone has iphone , imessage,facetime easier than skype ......

skype go for droid ........

Well, the last few times Apple announced an update, the relevant site went down about an hour before the update was scheduled, and then was down for anywhere from one hour to several hours after the time of release for the update. So it could still happen.
 
john lewis (major retailer here in the uk) had some new models on their system when i phoned them earlier today. couldn't confirm prices or a release date.
 
The store did not go down in the last round of product updates in May when the new Retina iMac and 15-inch MacBook Pro were announced. Both were minor updates, much like these iPods are expected to be.

Ah, good point. I'd forgotten about that being how it happened. So, yep, just about all the evidence points to an announcement in about an hour. Yay!

I need iPod Touch 6th gen.... Need ambient light sensor back on my iPod. Need faster chip etc as apps are running so sluggishly.
If not today, maybe tomorrow? :D

Apple will not hold an event for a minor iPod touch upgrade. They will update the store when it is time, however when we compare it to times new (minor refresh) products have hit the store, this is getting a bit late in the day.

Because I'm an optimist for things like this, I'll still hope for one soon, but it looks like today isn't the day...

Now we need to figure out what's up with those colors?

I think those new colors are a pretty good sign that there is an update of some sort coming soon. But at this point I think it is pretty safe to say it isn't happening today.

I certainly hope not! Nothing beats a nano or shuffle for working out, outdoor activities, etc. I know the phone and touch can accomplish that as well but I will never get used to lugging an iPhone 6/6+ around on my arm. Not happening!
