Respectfully, what model Samsung is that?Incorrect:

You sir, deserve the Nobel prize - I've just re-read the article in reference Apple's lack of clear clarification on the tech specs page unless you directly compare to the 14 Pro - 1TB it is then. You can record to internal storage. If you could only record to external SSD, there would be no reason to say that the 128GB can’t do it.
You can, as long as your storage is 256gb or aboveExactly this is also my question as well!!! And if we can do ProRes 60 fps on internal storage then I’ll spring for the 512gb Pro Max instead!
Unless read/write speeds are affected like on the macbooks then I don't care about 128 or 256 aside from my cost to own. I would legitimately take a 15 Pro Max 128 Gb. I have no need for 256 currently and 128 would double what I'm currently using. It's irrelevant how she specs her phone!
She's spot on, it's embarrassing for Apple to do it, when it precludes a feature of the phone they're selling!
That aside it's only the poorly informed that think the only difference between the 256gb & 128 Gb is the actual storage or the Pro Res feature.
iPhone 15 Pro 128GB should not exist in this world. It’s embarrassing.
I wish the base storage started from 256GB instead.
Could not agree more. Just make it 256 already!
Which is why the 128GB shouldn’t be an option on the Pro model. 256GB should be base on both, and why I think it was smart for Apple to make the Max 256GB base, especially with the new camera improvements.
Says to me that 128GB version of a "Pro" iPhone should not be a thing. Just like MBAs with 8GB of RAM and single chip 256GB storage. I get that Apple makes a nice $ on the storage and memory options, but the base specs should not be crippling to the device features.
Shows how incredibly outdated 128GB is... Just update the base model to 265GB AT LEAST.
Also, does the iPhone 15 pro allow for ProRes 60 4K in LOG? Or just normal mode?
A 128GB iPhone 15 Pro should not be a thing.
I dont know which one it is and it doesn't matter. It's been done before and Apple (Samsung included) both refuse to do it now. Sony has kept the MicroSD card though.Respectfully, what model Samsung is that?
Samsung flagships haven’t had SD cards in them for years.
My point stands. Not everyone needs 256 much less every feature of said model. There is nothing embarrassing about paying for a base model phone with 128 if that is all one needs. It's irrelevant how she specs her phone!

What do you mean by that? That aside it's only the poorly informed that think the only difference between the 256gb & 128 Gb is the actual storage or the Pro Res feature.
A 64GB Pro iPhone shouldn’t exist and Apple agreed when they made 128GB the base storage in the 12 Pro without increasing its price in the US.Lmao the absolute ridiculousness of saying the product shouldn’t exist if it cant do an extremely useless thing
What a terrible fan base
Cool! I'll get 512 instead then! Thx!You can, as long as your storage is 256gb or above
You're misinformed 4k 60FPS works on internal storageIf it's feature locked to EXTERNAL recording only, it makes the 1TB storage option even more unnecessary and pointless, unless youre a masochist who insists on keeping all your content on your phone
I was going to opt for the 1TB storage after the 4K60 announcement, but it looks like it's going to be feature locked for external recording only from what I can infer from Apple's vague tech specs, if so, i'll save myself the cash and opt for the 512GB. External recordings great and all, but why even offer 1TB if you can't take advantage of having the extra space?
They are and that's the whole point, aside from the fact that it precludes a feature of the phone, regardless of whether you use it or not.Unless read/write speeds are affected like on the macbooks then I don't care about 128 or 256 aside from my cost to own. I think this might just be a copyedit issue; If you scroll down to the "Front Camera" section of the comparison, it shows this:On the 256GB and higher iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max, ProRes video recording is supported in up to 4K quality at 60 frames per second to both internal storage and external storage.
There aren’t microSD cards fast enough to withstand that massive bitrate that Prores has in 4K60.This wouldn't be a problem if Apple just added a MicroSD card slot onto the phone. But that would require Apple to respect it's consumers.
Besides, I’ve never really understood the concept of being embarrassed for a company. Especially not one that’s so wildly successful.well then you will have people complaining about starting price for 15 Pro would be $1099. Many don't care about these extra features and will happily rather have access to lower price.
My point stands. Not everyone needs 256 much less every feature of said model. There is nothing embarrassing about paying for a base model phone with 128 if that is all one needs.
Apple is in the business of making money not satisfying comments labeled as embarrassing from forum members. If you don’t like what Apple is offering, pay for the upgrade, complain directly to Apple, or go to a different ecosystem.
Hey, then someone would say the price got raised by $100!iPhone 15 Pro 128GB should not exist in this world. It’s embarrassing.
I wish the base storage started from 256GB instead.
