I’m trying to figure out why you find this type of legislation good. But there is no forum requirement to respond in any particular way except within the rules.

Why is this legislation so good when you can buy a product that works like this out of the box?
Works like what out the box that’s so good
A product is it and who makes it in relation to this?

It just is in relation to better connectivity to the OS

Not sure I understand. If you want to side load, there are other vendors that support that. Multiple app stores, again supported by some vendors. Root your device some vendors support that also. Rcs native cross platform communication supported.

Differentiated is iOS, a vertically integrated product by design with many controls.

really I didn’t know you could do all that on android compared with the iPhone
Thinks for your insightful knowledge there buddy next time when I’m purchasing my next device that I change every year I’m sure I will keep that in mind
Just the same if I want headphones that have better connectivity on iOS then there is only one choice

As I've said before, I'm against governmental regulations that can and will be addressed by the marketplace. Obviously, I don't own Apple, but if it were my company and I didn't have to deal with pesky shareholders and board members, I would no longer sell the affected products in the EU rather than comply with those regs.

Thanks buddy. Can you please elaborate on better connectivity? Are you saying my new Bose headphones won’t work with iPhones?

If AirPods didn’t offer better connectivity then there is no issue then is there with the DMA
Are you sure you have Bose headphones maybe a white pair of headphones?

If AirPods don’t have an advantage over the competition then what is the complaint about regarding the DMA then?
What complaint are you referring to? Or are saying all apple chips should be given away to anyone who asks? And Apple isn’t allowed to design and develop its own skin.

But the EU are not asking for apple to give away their chips or hardware or let Samsung for example put iOS on to a Samsung galaxy
S26 ultra so I think your getting a bit confused

There isn’t misinterpreting it’s straight out dislike.
But why?
If your not based in the EU
And the EU are not telling apple to give hardware away like chips or devices
Or for Samsung to put iOS on the S26 ultra then what is the actual problem?
Because you keep using general terms

The “actual problem” is Apple invests money into developing new software features. In the EU, the nanosecond they release that software feature to Apple’s customers, they are required, by law, to give access to that software feature to anyone who asks for it.

That discourages Apple from spending money to develop new features, resulting in less innovation and fewer features for everyone.

Do you live in the EU just asking regarding the DMA regulation

I do not currently, but i have in the past, my brother is an EU citizen, I’m fluent in a major non-English EU language, and hope to buy property with the goal of spending a large portion of my time in the EU once I retire.

This affects Apple worldwide, hence the discussion. Plus, this is a discussion forum for Apple and other tech. Posters are permitted to discuss topics that are posted in these forums.
Since as you claim about being on MR for years then can you tell me if all iOS features are available in every region or do some not receive all the features

Quick question does every region get the exact same features for iOS?

So is it software related regarding the DMA because if it is then it’s an easy fix regarding the EU
I dont understand what you are saying. You went to know the differences between iOS in different areas. You challenged me to list them. I said they were off topic and you reply with the above - non sequator to the original comment.
