Wait until touch disease or loop disease affects these iPads.

Then it becomes a defect and consumers will have to pay Apple $499 to repair.

This is just ridiculous! Would one expect to buy a new car that has dents or body damage from the factory? According to Apples logic, yes, this would be considered acceptable.

Yes, new cars are sometimes delivered with defects. However, in the case of an iPad you can return it or exchange it, whereas with a new car.... good luck, you'll need it

You know it's coming too. Bad for Apple this is happening out of the box. They can't blame this design flaw on their users like they did with the iPhone 6.

Two April 1st this year........oh, it is a true story then? Maybe its so you can throw it away in disgust at Apple quality and it just flies back like a boomerang.......self-returning c””p, awesome new design concept.

That’s it.

This is thre third major strike against Apple I’ve experienced in the last month.

Physical product QC is shot. iCloud security and troubleshooting by Apple is worthless.

Though I’m a long time stockholder I’m starting to see why the stock has tanked.

Let’s ditch Tim Cook, and get a maniacal CEO with some balls and vision again.

So I went into the Apple Store with Face ID issues and the store accused me of acedently damaging my iPad Pro 12.9 inch. Eventually they agreed to order a replacement unit, when it finally came we opened the Box and low and behold it was also bent. So the store ordered another and then it came.... also bent!
Well.. The bend is "normal". I took mine back for a refund on tuesday because it was curved straight out of the box.

I really like my 2017 12.9 model. Yeah, it’s heavy-ish and has bezels, but it has a great display and feels really solid. When it comes down to it, all of my favorite tech products feel solid. I shouldn’t have to worry about them that much, or even need extra protection for them if I treat them well. “Bent before I even unseal the package” does not qualify.

Were you guys able to come up with an idea as to why it’s happening, and whether or not it’s inevitably going to happen to all of them? Trying to decide if it’s worth keeping the one I bought a month ago from Best Buy, I have until January to return it.

Some suspect it is caused by the heat of the chip behind the screen. One thing can be confirmed is the location is on the same place. It is around the centre of 2 inches above the bottom of the screen.

The demo unit in HK Apple Store is having the white spot at the same location.

a "side effect of the manufacturing process".....**** that noise, Tim Cook needs to go.

Definitely, Cook should be ousted or resign immediately for this ‘Bent’ iPad fiasco. I can’t believe he was allowed to be the CEO of Apple in the first place! (<— Massive amount of sarcasm in this post...)

My iPad is perfect. Your loss.

You just think it's perfect. Actually apple was lying about the bend happening out of the box. Actually yours is going to slightly bend a tiny bit each day until you realize that you were wrong. Unfortunatly by then it will be too late to return. Apple will however sell you the next generation model for zero dollars off, for the low price of $2000. This new model has a new bold move. It has no ports and no screen. It's just a giant notch. A top notch. It's certainly your loss.

Maybe because if the iPad is in a backpack, one should use more caution if the iPad is stacked between other hard objects. It’s common sense.
Yeah! How can these animals expect to put their portable tablet in a backpack without using a pelican case first?! It's like they think Apple should manufacture a portable device that can be transported places!
