Apple screwed over 6 plus customers...

I could be wrong, but isn't it more important how RAM is used than how much there actually is? Or at least as important?

This was the argument made when the Air was reloading safari tabs left and right, that it was a software issue etc. Then the Air 2 came out with 2gb of ram and then the issue became much clearer . . .

For the record, my 6+ reloads tabs constantly and my Air did as well.

Air 2 is magically a vast improvement over the Air for tab reloading. I wonder if they magicked the software . . .

The 6 Plus would have been better with 2 gb of RAM, and I've ordered a 6s Plus and am happy that it has 2 gb. That being said, I don't regret my 6 Plus purchase for a second. I've had a great year with it and the issues caused by having insufficient ram didn't ruin it for me.

I'd say for 95% of iPhone customers, they'll never even notice the issues, nor know why they are occurring. The 2 gb of RAM wasn't an advertised feature, so it's hard to say that it's a big selling point that Apple is using to force Plus owners to upgrade.

Agreed, for all my complaints I have really enjoyed the Plus overall. Which is why I got a 6s Plus!

In that case (after reading the comments), I'm not upgrading to the 6S+ just to get the 2GB RAM, since I was screwed with my 1GB 6+. I'm patient and won't pay out anymore $ and will wait for the iPhone 7. (Works both ways : ))

And these forums are full of people who honestly believe that because they are experiencing issues, EVERYONE must be experiencing issues. And everyone who doesn't agree with their point of view must be an apologist (I automatically disregard the views of anyone who uses this term).

Well said.
Once I see people calling anyone who has a different view or opinion of theirs an "apple apologists" or fanboy then you know the rest is downhill from there.
You're better off talking to a wall than trying having a discussion with them.

Edit.
The ignore function is great:)

The terms "apologist", "fanboy", and "hater" are usually enough for me to check out of a conversation.

Pretty much:D
If we enjoy our device and have no issues we're an apologist?
There's plenty of Androids with huge spec lists and 3GB's of ram and they run like crap. Can't even compare with the user experience of the iphone. Specs or ram is not all there is to user satisfaction and reliability. And Apple has proved that over the years.

Reload isn't as bad as Safari crashing such as when scrolling really fast while www.theverge.com is still loading. It never seems to finish loading either and just spins the gear along with slow scrolling.

I don't think there's a single Apple product that was blatantly missing a feature.

iPad Mini should have had Retina
iPad Air should have had Touch ID
iPhone 5 should have had a bigger screen
iPhone 5s should have had NFC to allow Payment with TouchID
iPad Mini 3 should have had iPad Air 2 specs
iPhone 6 should have had 2GB RAM
iPad Mini 4 should have had an A8X instead of a plain A8
iPad Pro should have had Force Touch

While I don't necessarily disagree with you, if you look back at everything we've gotten over the years then I'd say the iPhone 6 and iPad Air 2 are the most longterm iOS products they've ever made. (That said, I'm still upgrading from 6+ to 6S+)

I'd say the iPhone 5. That phone actually performed better than the two generations of iPhone that followed it. It has more available RAM than the 5S, 6 and 6+ thanks to it being 32Bit and having a small display. I wish I had kept mine for another year and skipped the miserable 6+. I'm on the fence now as to whether I buy the 6S+. Part of me can't stand the prospect of another 12 months of stuttering, crashing and reloading but then another part of me doesn't want to give Apple a further £699 just to get an identical looking phone that performs how the 6+ should have done. That would mean dropping £1400 just to get a fully functional phablet out of Apple.

My 6+ works better on 1GB Ram, than my Note 4 did on 3GB Ram.

You mean that you prefer iOS to Android, that has got nothing to do with RAM. As another anecdote my Galaxy Tab with 1.5GB of RAM hardly reloads at all, ever. So I would expect the Note 4 to be awesome when it comes strictly to not reloading.

Ill probably be hated for saying this but 2gb ram should have been standard on the 6 plus... I bet apple knew it stutters - but decided to put 2gb ram in ipad Air 2 (which flies in terms of performance) but alas now the iphone 6s plus is out soooooooo more money to them...

PS - I sold my iphone 6 plus due to this!
Stop whining and just buy new one and sell old. Not a big deal

If Apple puts out a substandard product it's certainly our right to call them out on it. Maybe you'd be happy to upgrade yearly, but other people want their phone to reliably last longer. My 4S can't even listen to music and play a game at the same time. I'm suspecting RAM issues there too.

The 4S wasn't substandard, and nor the i5. The 5S should really have had 2GB of RAM with the jump to 64Bit and it was outrageous that the i6/6+ still had 1GB of RAM. Add to that the scaling issues and you'll find that the 6+ is a far worse phone than the 4S in terms of longevity. Heck, it didn't even perform well out of the box.

Definitely the worst iPhone I've ever owned/used, and I've owned/extensively used all of them except for the original one. The best one would be iPhone 5. Performed flawlessly with iOS 6 and is still snappy and fluid with iOS 8.
