Smoke screen: same UI, just a cheap skin ala Android of 10 years ago.
And battery draining just for keeping transparency. Extremely poor decisions in user interaction. I really want a better iPhone experience, not worse!

Regarding that Liquid Glass issue.. try to compare its state with "reduce transparency" and " reduced motion" enabled, then RT off and RM on, and finally RT on and RM on, you will see difference with both light and dark mode. After this quick comparison anybody should be able to tell by himself if there is some tweaking needed or not.

Seems to have fixed AutoMix.
What problems are you having with AutoMix? Beta 4 was probably the best it’s been since Beta 1 for me. Only complaint I had was sometimes it’d start a song about a minute in, skipping over the first chorus occasionally.

You most likely will need to wait a couple of years more or switch to android.
But honestly I don’t see any huge changes, neither in iOS or android in the near future

Not doing this on my 16 Pro, very smooth to pull up the search bar.
„Fixed“ it. On a hunch I switched system language to English and it fixed search crashing apps and the erratic jumping on springboard pulldown. Changing just the keyword layout to QWERTZ did not help.

still stuttering on my 15 pro. this has been the worst beta since iOS 7.
Have a bit of patience. Give the phone a little rest, charge it, …
But I’m pretty sure as a member of this forum and a registered „developer“ you know this more than enough.

The iTunes Store icon looks weird no?

Apple today provided developers with the fifth betas of iOS 26 and iPadOS 26 for testing purposes, with the updates coming a week after Apple seeded the fourth betas

Registered developers can download the new beta software using the Software Update section of the Settings app.

iOS 26 and iPadOS 26 feature Apple's new Liquid Glass design aesthetic, with a focus on translucency and glass-like interface elements. The design extends to the Lock Screen, Home Screen, and Control Center, along with menus and buttons in apps.

Apple's software includes features for apps like Messages, Phone, Shortcuts, and Apple Music, along with new Apple Intelligence features, a revamp for CarPlay, and more. In iPadOS 26, there's a whole new multitasking system that supports multiple app windows for a more Mac-like experience.

For more on the features in iOS 26, we have a dedicated iOS 26 roundup and a separate iPadOS 26 roundup. Several new features were found in beta 2 and we rounded them up, plus we did the same thing for beta 3 and beta 4.

Can anyone else confirm this? There’s another person saying it’s largely unchanged from Beta 4. These are contradictory statements.
Frosty look is back on my M4 iPad with beta 5 for the folders they were quite glassy and transparent yesterday with beta 4
