Sucks for all of us with unsupported phones. We're probably going to get next to nothing new for the foreseeable future as everything they release is going to be Apple Intelligence based. Just watch as every new feature going forwards is going to "require" Apple Intelligence.

It's a pretty **** move to all of us that purchased 14 Pros. I would have held off another year if I would have known the phone was going to essentially be cut off after two years.
I’m just curious what you would like Apple (or the world) to do for you right now. Anything realistic and specific or do you just like to act the victim?

I haven’t installed 18.1 on my iPhone yet, but on both my iPads, Breathing Disturbances is missing inside the Health app.

I've been using iOS and iPadOS 18 and really quite like it so far. Nice upgrade! Anywhoo....I came to kinda casually ask y'all if you know the M3 chip is so-called ready for Apple Intelligence. This is specifically thinking about the MacBook Air. My current computer is a MacBook Pro 13" running I think Intel i5 chip or something (from 2017).

Do we know if the M3 chip on the MacBook Air is "AI ready", whatever that really means. While I am actually not likely to upgrade my computer this year, just wondering if the M3 chip shouldn't be considered at this point and I should only look at M4 and up in order to make sure newer features from macOS can be used.

If you're doing iCloud Backups, just turn it off before installing a beta. Then your beta installation won't back up to iCloud, and if you get a new phone you can just restore the iCloud backup since it's from the release version.

I generally leave iCloud Backups off when I'm running a beta, and back up to my Mac.
Not a bad idea

For years now as I've been running the betas, I've just been backing up to my iCloud with no problems somehow *knocks on wood*

Just makes for a bit more hoop jumping when it comes to moving from one phone to another like I did last year from my XR to a 15, but worth it for being on the cutting edge and helping out with identifying all the bugs as the software progresses through the betas to the RC and then eventually the final release

Does anyone have any clue what updates would come with this new PB 18.1 on non-Apple Intelligence phones? I am downloading the PB currently on my 12 Pro just curious if anyone new what other changes might be happening?
