I hope this is just a draft of the player. It looks so ugly, cumbersome and complicated. A music app shouldn't look that "sterilized".

I can't get my head around this redesign. It is scary.

None of the buttons align with other buttons and it bothers me.
And I cite that as an example with iOS 8 on the iPad all the time. It's sad, really.

What's notable about this is that Apple is no longer waiting for a major release to add major new features or changes.

Photos app was launched mid OSX 10.10 cycle and now Music is expected to get a major overhaul before iOS 9 is even announced.

It's following a pattern set by the other Apple app's since Jony took over the design - they all look very dull and sterilized. It works with the hardware but leaves me cold when it comes to the software.

Now picture that with a normal music collection which is of more than four albums. Then it makes more sense.
