Apple Seeds First Public Betas of iPadOS and iOS 13.1

Well for me it did. Tried 2 times. In the past it hasnt came back but now it does for some reason.


Edit. Third time and now it didnt pop back. Wierd glitch though.

Interesting. I wonder if Apple will release further iOS 13 betas or if the latest beta is the release candidate? If they do, will they be releasing both iOS 13 and 13.1 betas on the same profile? That seems a bit confusing.

I don't think there will be any more iOS 13.0 betas. If you don't want to beta test iOS 13.1, remove iOS 13 & iPadOS 13 Beta Software profile and wait for the official iOS 13.0. If you are a developer, you will get the GM build earlier.
 
Installed on my iPad Pro 11 inch and thus far everything I use it for works with 13.1 beta 1. Only hiccup was when I put my VPN on I could not get on MacRumor unless I turned off NordVPN

I think that’s a definite possibility but I’m not 100% sure.
 
I wish Mac Rumors and other sites wold update on the beta updates for the Mac. They show more interest in a stupid movie trailer than notifying of an update for the OS on one of the major products lines.

Increasingly I get my information from others here in the forum and then Reddit. If there is a feature request please start posting on this stuff MR editors or acknowledge you aren't and those of us can migrate to a different site.
 
I know we get in trouble for posting this in here but genuinely Safari does seem snappier!

App switching and opening is also faster than 13.0

Not noticing any issues so far. For me the last 13.0 beta was the worst one yet.

The last 13.0 seems pretty stable and the full release should be soon enough I only updated my ipad to 13.0. The one killer feature would be if 3rd party apps, or more 3rd party apps if some do, support the side app scroll feature. Without the 3rd party apps it's not super useful. That or even being able to use those apps that only work in normal view to work in landscape. Would make using it with a keyboard full time so much easier.

Unless I'm missing a way to force this iphone based apps on the ipad into landscape?
 
I guess I will just wait on PB 7 until 10 Sep, whatever is released after Apple’s keynote then should be the real thing to install.

Thanks. I think I'll hold off for now. I'm noticing slight delays with messages appearing in beta 8 - red notification indicator but no message showing. Still, it's a huge improvement on the previous beta where messages were appearing with no notification and often in the wrong order.

I also think beta 8 will end up being the GM since it leaps straight to 13.1
