I updated iPad Air 2 to the public beta of iPadOS 13, and it seems like it just gave a new life to this old thing.

Safari is literally snappy, heck the whole device feels anew.
I for one am very happy. :)

Are they all high in Apple’s HQ?

Well, "M" is the 13th letter of the alphabet.

I'd be smoking the old Mary Jane if I wasn't stuck in a job that requires a whiz quiz. Funny thing is, the state I work in (and work FOR) makes medical Mary available to someone like me. My condition is specifically listed in the law (De compensated liver disease) so even if I go get the card, I can't smoke it due to the random drug tests. Bastardos

Perhaps some might not have had issues with it depending on their use, but plenty of people have going by all kinds of reports across many beta threads.
I’m shocked everyone is having issues on so many betas I’m starting to think ios13 won’t be ready for September then.

Up until now I have only had minor to no issues with Beta 13.7 . But after reading 13.1 is so buggy, I stopped the could back up of 13.1 just one minute before it was going to finish. Will I be able to reinstall the previous Beta ?

So can we assume that there‘ll be no more iPadOS 13 betas, but only updates to the 13.1 now?
I mean, if this is the latest version now, how else would they let us chose between new 13. versions or 13.1 betas? So weird. 13.8 doesnt feel like a GM at all.

I updated my MacBook Pro and I lost all my files I had on the desktop shared in the iCloud. Don't even try this update. I thought it was a more bug free 13.0 but it is problematic, at least with iCloud. Terrible

Cloud is only one backup. 3-2-1 man.... Local backup you can access?

It sounds like your issue is related to Catalina’s beta and not iOS 13.1 beta then?

So far 13.1 is working on my iPhone 7 and my 11inch iPad Pro with no problems.

My 2018 iPad Pro still has fairly frequent "black screen with the loading spinner" restarts, and orientation changes are a little laggy, but it feels close. I'm guessing the GM is less than a week out.

Removing profile and rebooting brings profile back. Just turn off auto update and dont update manually.
Not here...

Installed on my iPad Pro 11 inch and thus far everything I use it for works with 13.1 beta 1. Only hiccup was when I put my VPN on I could not get on MacRumor unless I turned off NordVPN
AdGuard VPN working here, must be NorthVPN specific issue is my guess.

13.1 broke my mail notifications. That plus other apps not working is the reason I went back to beta 8, which everything was working perfectly with.
I am on beta 8 and I have never had the amount of issues I have in a beta release that is supposed to become a GM. I refrain from going up to 13.1 beta, but am still having a list of unsolved issues. Mail is spooking (M$ Exchange specific, I guess), Files is spooking with tags, save to Files is glitching with last save location, screencaps that got edits/annotations can start freezing, saving print preview pdf’s (selecting specific pages is a great feature) is freezing, Carplay language issue (English vs location of iCloud services - Sweden here. It’s a mess when you are not a Swede), some Siri queries are lacking contrast...

All the above has been reported in Feedback, no human nor generic/automated reply on any issue from Apple. This is my last beta ride, luckily I have automatic updates disabled, since that functionality in itself is focussed on favouring Apple’s upgrade statistics, rather than on the user. Automatic download, okay. Automatic install without a prompt is ridiculous.

Am I missing something or is Apple really requiring an Apple Music subscription to run music in HomeKit automation?

as per the logic described on I believe a post on page two: yes. (One person mentioning to not complete a backup in 13.1, one person pointing at setting up as a new phone, removing profile and then revert to back up.)

i cannot give all clues with 100% certainty however
