Hmmm but the cpu usage is 20% in big sur beta 4 when watching 4k video on MS Edge(chrome) it goes to 270% in Catanlina, maybe the IINA needs an update.
No. thanks. I've been sick of flat design ever since iOS 7 and OS X Yosemite. We've been flat longer than we've been skeuomorphic. I'm welcoming the latter's return. Design exists in cycles anyway. Skeuo would have catapulted us into the holographic by now if not for us regressing back to the days of Amiga Workbench and Tandy Deskmate.
I don’t understand what so big deal about 4K on YouTube there’s so many other places to watch 4KWith a sad heart I can confirm 4K YouTube works in Safari, gone are the days I could enjoy peoples screams and suffering on the internets, at the lack of 4K YouTube. Guess I need to find a new purpose in life now.
Well I hope your login all the bugs you find because that’s betas are all aboutDon't like beta 4. Downgrading to beta 3 again. It broke Reflector. Mirroring my ipad to the mac gives a black screen in beta 4. Hope it is fixed in beta 5. Or maybe Airquirrels will update Reflector.
Well they need to release an update, that's not up to Apple.still no go for parallels and fusion
Don’t know about parallels as I don’t use it but there is a tech preview available for fusion which adds beta support - https://blogs.vmware.com/teamfusion/2020/07/fusion-big-sur-tech-preview.html.still no go for parallels and fusion
Drag and drop a 4k YouTube video URL onto IINA
I believe if you see videotoolbox being used either in activity monitor or within iina (Cmd + i) that should show it!
that being said IINA may not be updated for this yet
If videotoolbox is being used by safari during playback that should show OS level support for hardware acceleration
sorry the forum isn't allowing me to embed this link
Everything is so much faster in this Beta. No crashes so far.
Mail attachments now working again.
Also, we don't all live in Cupertino anymore!

Both these apps will need updates to support Big Sur and we won’t see those until after Big Sur is officially released.
Where is public betaaaaa
